An open letter to Philadelphia Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey

Last week on September 4, 2008, as Ten Witnesses did nothing to help, 20-year-old Dewayne Taylor was attacked on the subway by a hammer wielding 26-year-old Thomas Scantling, who has a long history of Rape, Assault and other crimes!

Today, I read the article Police arrest man in Pa. subway hammer attack.

I also took the time to watch last week's Today Show interview where you stated "They better pray they're never a victim, because if someone was attacking them that way they would certainly hope someone would step forward and help, and it starts with stepping forward and doing something yourself," you said this because the witnesses did nothing to help the victim!

This incident has me thinking and I would like to ask you a few' questions!

As Washington DC Police Chief, you declared numerous Crime Emergencies' are you now going to declare a Crime Emergency for the Philadelphia area?

Are you going to have the Philadelphia Police perform traffic checkpoints and enter the information about motorists, who are not breaking laws, into a database like what you did in Washington DC?

To protect the public, will you again have Mass Arrests' like what happened on September 27, 2002?

So what would you have me do because because I am afraid of you and the Philadelphia Police Department!

I am afraid of Democrats like you!

I am afraid of Christians like you!

I am afraid of Muslims like you!

I am afraid of the Biased Associated Press Reporters who would repeatedly quote your tirade and condemnation of private citizens taking the law into their own hands!

I am afraid of the criminal's families and the resulting lawsuit that would be filed against me!

Now my wife and I have had training in Jeet Kune Do and Filipino Kali, we also have our Ohio Concealed Carry Weapons permit and we have had intensive professional training with firearms. (This firearms training has been supplemented with extensive weekly training/experience at an indoor firing range.) We have/are more experienced than your own police officers and there is no way in hell that I would have lifted a finger to help Dewayne Taylor!

My wife and I have had training on the laws concerning Use of Force' and I would not want to deal with you, your police force, or the Philadelphia Attorney General because we don't have the resource of Time and Money to defend ourselves from the legal system!

When Scantling sat his six-year-old son down to attack Dewayne Taylor with the hammer, did he have a gun hidden in his pants? Did he have a knife in his pocket? You don't know do you?

The guy is a felon and he is not going to admit having a knife or gun... which would be a felony... so what would you have a private citizen who does not have the training and experience like my wife and I... what would you have them do?

Democrats have passed over 30,000 laws concerning weapons and use of force... what could I do that would not violate one of those conflicting laws?

We really don't need a publicity w***e like yourself condemning the public for not helping a crime victim because in the end... we are the ones who have to deal with the idiotic laws that Liberal Democrats have put on the books...

We don't need to hear from a liberal moronic idiot like Barack Obama lie in a speech saying that he "Respects the 2nd Amendment... that we don't need criminals with AK-47's" ... because criminals will use hammers, they will use knives, they will use steel pipes and they will prey on the unsuspecting!

In closing: I am sorry... but if I see your mom, dad, brother, sister, wife, son, daughter, aunt, uncle, cousin, neighbor or friend attacked by a criminal... I can not and will not come to there aid and I will not help... and you can thank your fellow Democrats for that fear!
