My husband and I purchased a 42in plasma TV for Christmas. After having numerous problems with the TV it finally broke down completely in February. We had trouble finding a repairman from the list given us by Philips. The set has been in the shop since 2/22. Philips did not have a part to fix this new set and said the part would be available 3/14. Now they said the part will not be available till 4/14. My husband called Philips again and was told on 3/20 since we were having these problems they would call within 48 hours and decide to either give us a new set or refund our money. Even the repairman said we should just get a new set from them. Philips never called us back in 48 hours so we had to call them again. They said we just have to wait for the part, they are not going to do anything else. We are retired and had to save for this set which we had for only 2 months. We paid close to $2000 for this set at Circuit City who also refused to help us. We have nothing to show for our money but a lot of aggravation. Philips ripped us off and doesn't care.
