Phillip And Cohen Associates harrasing family with calls for someone Newark Internet
I keep getting phone calls for someone I don't know. They call a minimum of two times a day, waking my young children in the morning.
When they call they leave two phone numbers, one actually goes to a chat line. I have repeatedly called them to ask them to stop calling me.
My future husband has done the same, they will not stop calling me. I have no knowledge of the person they are looking for.
I am dissabled and have enough to deal with without having to deal with this.
Is their any way to stop these calls?

When you call the numbers given, are you able to speak with a live person? If so, ask them what they are collecting, what the account number is, and where they would like cease and desist letters sent.
If they are trying to collect from someone who does not live with you, a cease and desist letter will do the trick. You can find sample letters all over the internet. Send the letter by certified mail with return receipt requested.
If you can't get in touch with a live person, I suppose your best option is to call the operator immediately after you receive a call, and ask the operator if there is any way that calls from that number can be blocked.
You can also file complaints with your state's attorney general and the Federal Trade Commission.
