Complaint Review: Phoenix Car Rental

This establishment is without a doubt the most horrible businesses in the United States, It apparently goes by numerous different names (A A Able's Phoenix Car Rental, Saban's Rental, Phoenix Car Rental, and perhaps others.

My family had reserved a Suburban through this company for a 5 day period to attend a wedding in Sedona. I called the business numerous times prior to making a reservation in search of specific information about their vehicles. One of my questions was how old are the Suburbans. The answer was that all of the Suburbans were late model vehicles and our vehicle would be either a 2010, 2009, or 2008 model. I then finalized the reservation

On the scheduled day of the rental, we arrived on time at their facility at 11:00am. I was somewhat surprised as according to their website the company supposedly has 1,100 vehicles in their fleet. I think I saw maybe a dozen. One of these parked out front of the office was a circa 1995 Suburban. Very run down and in horrible condition and unlikely road worthy. The other vehicle was an approximate 2000 model GMC of some sort. I went into the store and was given a gruff "WHAT DO YOU WANT" from the alleged owner, "Big Pete". I told him who I was and gave him our reservation information. He then asked which of the two vehicles out front I wanted. I said neither. I was told we would be getting a 2008+ model Suburban. He said, "Bullsh*t, we never tell people that". I said they most certainly did, and I was pretty sure it was him I spoke with on the phone. With that he said (with my 10 year old daughter at my side) "GET THE F**K OUT OF MY STORE MOTHER F**KER. I DON'T HAVE TO RENT ANYTHING TO YOU".

We left the store in shock. Big Pete followed us out of the store yelling more obscenities to my entire family including twin 7 year olds. Needless to say, we left and luckily found the needed vehicle elsewhere. In addition to their non-existent customer service skills, they engage in false advertising as well. Bait and switch at its best. Very surreal and shocking that a supposed business professional could act in this fashion. My wife and kids were in fear of their lives the way this man was carrying on.
