Complaint Review: Phoenix Consumer Services (PCS)

I was contacted by a "Jeff Hultquiest" at Phoenix Consumer Services for a Visa card application. The phone number of the incoming call was 727-530-7071. On a reverse phone search the number belongs to "George Glass" a common fake name. Same story as the others. Gave me a confirmation number and a toll-free number to call at 866-799-2788.

I was told that they do business with major banks and I recall he named Bank of America as one of them. I was told I'd have a $500 starter limit and a fee on $129.95 would be applied to my bank account on 14 January. I decided against this just today and when trying to contact the company or "Jeff" the number rang and rang and eventually disconnected. I was instantly suspicious. I went online and did every search I could think of until I searched for 866-799-2788 and found this website. Luckily I found this information before the charges were applied to my bank account and I still have time to fix it.
