Phoenix Hard Parts, Phoenix Remanufactured Transmissions ripoff 20% charge restocking fee when order was cancelled less than 3 hours after being placed Phoenix Arizona
I ordered a transmission at 10:30am. I found the rip off reports on Phoenix Hard Parts around noon. I called to cancel my order at 1:30pm. They charge a 20% restocking fee for cancelled orders. BEWARE. My charge will be between $200 and $300 FOR NOTHING! A reputable business would waive such a fee in a circumstance of several hours. It's not like the transmission had been shipped yet. I can't comment on the transmissions they provide, but what I've read here makes me rather pay the restocking fee (and dispute it with the credit card company) than risk going through what others have. I'd rather just buy a used transmission - sounds like that's what most of the ones they sell are anyway.

I would like to apologize for the misunderstanding. I would like to let you know that we are a VERY REPUTABLE company, and we sell thousands of remanufactured transmission every year. The reason why we charge a cancellation fee is because we are charged a processing fee from Visa / Mastercard and it takes us approximately 20 minutes to begin an order for you. We do not process the credit card until we recieve a signed copy of our invoice for this exact reason.
I hope that this sheds some light onto the reason of why we normally charge a cancellation fee. I hope that we can do business again in the future and that you would continue to promote our company positively. I will see to it that your account is credited the cancellation fee.
