PHOENIX PEST & TERMITE CONTROL INC ripoff Charged twice for the service refusing to refund Phoenix Arizona
In March 2002,Phoenix Pest and Termites Controll(PPTC) was hired to do a termites inspection at the property 8431 W Sunnyslope Peoria,AZ. Price $45. They did it arround 19 March or so. On the 21-st of March I was charged $45 via credit card for this service. On 25-th of March I was charged once again $45 for that service.I called PPTC and complained. I was told they will remedy it.
During March ,April and May I called them numerous times but I was always given the run arround. I spoke many times with Michelle, the Supervisor, and Steve, the Manager and everytime i was told that they will refund the money. At the begining of May they asked me to provide proof that I was indeed charged twice.I faxed them the bank statement that showed the double charge.I also provided them with the credit card number where they can return the money. Next day I was told by Michelle that the money were returned.
However at the time of this writing, May 30, no refund was received. I contacted PPTC many times and I was told various reasons, like they dont know why the refund did not take place, that they have to go trough their record to find where they returned the money, or that they may have the wrong card number, etc. I asked them to fax me a proof that they indeed returned the money but they refused.
All this time I was tossed arround from Steve to Michele, to their Accounting Department. Every time I would call they would tell me that they would call me back. They never did, not even once. The more I would call the more their customer reprezentive skills would diminished. Last time, on May 23,I was told that the same thing: they will look trough their archives to see where they send the money.
Today , May 30, I called again and everybody involved into this was, conveniently, either in meeting or not in the office.I guess that whenever they hear may name they don't want to take the calls.I think they want me to give up. I told them I would report their practices. They did not seem to care. But i do. Please, help me. Thank you.

I understand the frustration this customer experienced. No one wants to feel ripped off!
He/she were finally compensated .
Here at Phoenix Pest & Termite we value our customers and sometimes riff raff do get hired, but we weed out the ones that do not take customer service as the number one priority.
Again , I apologize for this incident and would love the opportunity to prove we are an honest family owned company.
Thank you!!

I was in "Steve's" position. He was the 3rd or 4th Termite Manager in a year following me. I now own my own business. It takes a manager that cares about the future of their department to make sure these things are handled correctly. I happen to know that he only cares about the now. Jerry Martinie, the Qualifying Party license holder with the Structural Pest Control Commission is the guy you need to harrass. There are bogus and legitimate claims with any business, and he doesn't care. He'll make the managers' take this kind of heat and let you think he doesn't exist. If you call twice a day (to him) I would guess it would maybe take three days tops for a $45 overcharge-whether you could prove it or not, just to get you off his back. Donald Vanasse, or Virginia (Ginger) Kimes, the "owners" don't question Jerry. These kind of things I never went through anyone for the refund. I would tell Jerry during our DAILY morning "what's going on" meeting that I needed to refund this or pay for that or buy this, and he always approved the small items just to save a hassle and get on with his day. If none of this works, file a complaint with the Commission. Lagally they have no jurisdiction with this, but they have to go through the motions, which will definitely get their attention. Ask them what day you can pick up a check. The best time for this is lunchtime. Either Donald or Jerry will be there. If Anna Hatter is still there, I believe she still has check signing privileges also, if not, there is a "controller" who can ALWAYS get ahold of Donald to get authorization to write and sign one. P.S. Jerry and Steve are drinking/golf buddies, so Jerry probably already knows or has heard about you.
Good Luck
