Complaint Review: Phoenix Remanufactured Transmissions

I purchased a transmission from phoenix remanufactured transmissions in November 2002 and it took them until march 2003 to finally get it right.

I had to send them factory synchronizers after twice before experiencing grinding in 3rd gear. Their synchronizers were not matched correctly and did not mesh.
After finally getting it right with my synchronizers installed in the new transmission, the output shaft snapped.

They have refused to honor the warranty because they say it started at the date of purchase. The date of purchase being 4 months before they sent me a transmission that worked. I only dealt with Frank until he decided it was to inconvenient. Frank was rude and not a very good businessman. Michel on the otherhand was polite and sympathetic just not in a position of authority. In my opinion he would make the better owner.
