I went in to Piazza Honda in Essington, PA on 11/23/15 to get my car worked on. Next thing I know, I'm being charged an astronomical amount of money for a job that barely takes an hour.

I had two services done: Routine maintanence of my transmission fluid and had one of the heat shields replaced.

I had an appointment for 10AM. I show up for my appointment and I'm out of the building just BEFORE 1PM.

I look at my bill and they charged me for 3 hrs of labor for the heat shield! A job that involves taking off a few bolts and doesnt take more than an hour. I wasn't even physicallly in the building for 3 HRS!

The bill also clearly shows how much I was charged in labor for the transmission fluid replacement. So lets see...... the transmission service was 80.95 INCLUDING labor cost ($44.04)

Because I am a young woman and was there by myself, they thought they could get away with telling me that the heat shield took 3 hrs and charge me an insane amount of money. Yup, they told me the heat shield alone took 3 hrs to work on when, again I wasn't even in the building for 3 hrs. Oh, and not to mention them double charging me for labor. Let's think about that... If the whole ordeal lasted just under 3 hrs and I was already charged the labor for the transmission work, well they went ahead and helped themselves to more of my money and charged me again for labor.

Then they offered me like $65 back which was insulting. I called Honda corporate about the matter and got a reference number for my complaint. I have yet to hear anything from the dealership or the company concerneing this.

Don't EVER Go To A Dealership For Service AGAIN!

Ask around and find a good independent mechanic to do your work.  You don't need to go to a dealership for substandard, over priced service!  With an independent mechanic you'll get much better customer service, much better quality of service and much better prices.  The fraud and deception which is far too present on the sales floor within the Sleazy American Car Business has extended itself into the shop.
