This company, Pimsleur-Approach.com, buries it's real cost under a long and boring video and a lot of small print.  The program is spelled out clearly enough if you can find it, but it took us over an hour to find it.  He missed it when he placed his order.  He ordered a set of 4 CDs for around $10.00.  The CDs came but were not really good at teaching the language.  He was disappointed, but has kept working with those ordered and paid for CDs.

Today we got the wonderfully impressive package that included a lot of CDs and a notice that we would not have to worry...they would automatically deduct four payments of $64.00 from our charge card.  And this is the first of 3 levels...which they would also deduct automatically in 4 payments.  This makes a total of $768.00.

He called and was told he could return them, but we would have to pay the postage.  He said he hadn't order these and there would be a strong report sent to Ripoffreport.com.  She "talked to her manager" and we were told they would send us a return postage label by email in 3 days.  Of course, we will keep a close watch on the charge card account.

Two lessons learned:  1)Stay away from this scamming bunch of people.  2)check everything with Ripoff Report before buying

if you get one of these boxes and don't want them:call them and ask for a supervisor. then use what they call magic
words. threatening to turn the company into the BBB or atorney general. you can also say you will cancel your credit card or dispute charges. the employees call these magic words and have to give you a refund and give you postage to send them back. you can also say you didnt get the boxes or returned them to sender. say that you will post about company here
on facebook or twitter. a girl i called there told me they have magic words that customers say. they cant do anything about them. best practice is to threaten better busniess bureau and cancel credit card they will refund you and cancel you.

My advice to you, don't just watch your statement, stop the credit card as well. Stopped cards can still be creddited to, just can't be charged. This company has a high reputation for scamming customers.
