Pinnacle Credit Services I settled a debt with them and they did not send me a letter of it being paid. The debt has since been bounced around to diffcerent agencies and have been unsuccessful in getting a hold of someone. i hopkins, Minnesota
I had an original debt of approx. 2,700.00$. When Pinnacle had my note it was up to $4,000.00. Pinnacle made me a deal of paying it off for $2,900.00, which I accepted and paid the 2,900.00$. Pinnacle never cleared my accoubnt and for the past one to two years it is now over $5,000.00 and being bounced to toher collection agencies. I have faxed my check stubs and an e-mail correspondence, but no one has fixed this.

You learned a painful lesson: Any promise over the phone from a debt collector should be assumed to be a lie unless the terms are first backed up in writing. A copy of a cashed check only proves that a payment was made on the account.
