We hired Jerimiah for a oak floor installation and finish job in our home in 2017. Jerimiah from the beginning never worked more than a few hours on our job which caused him to be way over the duration on the paperwork. Jerimiah then demanded progress payments before he completed the stages and finally tried to force us to pay arbitrary fees which we refused and then began to act menacing toward my wife and I. He was paid in full and never completed half of the work and what he did complete is very poor workmanship.

Another victim Jeremiah Guy ripped off

I hired Jeremiah Guy, owner of Pinnacle Hardwood Flooring in November 2017 to refinish all wood floors in my Dearborn rental house and to lay a new floor in the kitchen.  Jeremiah said he could start right away and would be in and out in no time.  He came and measured everything and wanted half the money upfront, plus the cost for wood for the kitchen floor and $400 for Glitsa sealer, which he said was better than any other sealer and he claimed to be trained to use it. He also said he would buy better wood from his supplier and that he had to pay Cash (later I found out that the wood came from HomeDepot).

Then he framed the contractor I had hired to do other work on the house by sending me photos of a liquor bottle on the paint can and cigarette butts and said they had done nothing but party at my house.  Jeremiah felt so sorry that the other guy had taken advantage of me because I am out-of-state and said I should fire him. I was very vulnerable and Jeremiah offered to do all the work by December 1 if I paid him an additional $4K, which I did. He said he was Christian and that he had a crew and they would start the next day.  After I sent him the money I had a very difficult time reaching him, but when I talked to him he always assured me that he was making good progress.  I scheduled an open house the last week of November and that's when I found out that hardly anything had been done.  It was a nightmare and I fired Jeremiah, who completely took advantage of me and ripped me off. He is no professional as he claimed, and not only had he done hardly any work, but what he did was substandard work and the wood floor he laid in the kitchen had to be redone. He also threatened to put a lien on my house and he impersonated a police officer when he called an acquaintance at 11:30pm at night.  In addition, he left all the trash he said he had removed from the garage but stole items that he could sell.

Furthermore, Jeremiah Guy supposedly worked on my house about the same time he worked for the other victim - I wonder how many other people he scammed.
