I have had a storage unit at this place for a little while, the only reason I went there is because it was close to where I was moving. This place has gone thru numerous managers recently, but this last one they have gotten, her name is Erin, she is rude and will tell you to your face, that her boss Lori backs her up 100% of whatever decision she makes, so if me or somebody else doesn't like it, go someplace else.

I found out the Wiltse's own this business along with Wiltse Electric and another self storage in Ann Arbor, Mi. Lori Wiltse works the self storage site in Pinckeny now and then and numerous people in the area have told me she's brainless. The woman is on a power trip and is afraid to break a nail, but when I did speak to her about this employee, I might as well be speaking to a wall, no matter what I said, it went in one ear and out the other. Lori was not about to listen to anything I had to say about her girl!!

The ceiling was falling all over my stuff in the unit, during the winter months, the driveway was done, but in front of the units were piles of snow, I asked Erin about this and she offered to give me a shovel saying she had just had surgery about a week ago and was not about to go out and strain herself.

The lot is full of garbage and it's no wonder, you go into the office to pay your rent and she's on the internet talking in one of that chat places. I have never, NEVER seen such a lazy person in my life and this just goes to show you that the Wiltse's do not mind if their employees are lazy, rude and do not care about their clients.

I recommend that you do not rent here. I now the next self storage is a bit further away, but it's most certainly worth going to one of them. Pirates Cove is old and the owners do not want to put any money back into fixing it up or else the roof on my unit would have been fixed. I was told they do not cover damage in their lease, but it was their lack of repairs that caused the damage, not me.

This place is pathetic and hopefully, the owners will see what type of person they have managing it. Erin, whom they have now is lazy and mouthy.

I have also had the UNPLEASANT experience with dealing with this company and have since moved my belongings to somewhere safe and secure. One of the reasons I left, was because of the new manager, Erin. I approached her about
water inside my unit and damage to some of my stuff, I found that mice has nested inside my sofa. Erin's response to me was, "we do not cover damage"!!
I asked who owned the business since I wasn't getting anywhere with her and was
told she was not allowed to give out that information.

Now that I know who owns it, I'm going to write a letter to the Better Business Bureau, So, thanks Cathy and Ms. Wort, don't you worry about a thing, the Better Business Bureau will take care of this now and you can move your Landscaping stuff into my mice infested units that I had!

I've been a tenant at Pirate's Cove in Pinckney for almost two years. I have one of the 10' x 20' units and I store supplies for my landscaping business as well as some furniture from my home that I had to store there when I moved. I just don't understand how "Kathy" could have had a completely different experience than I have had in my two years at there, including the time since Erin's been manager. What's more, there is just no way that the owners would have reacted the way you say they did if you told them that they were being treated badly by one of their employees. It's a customer service business in a very competitive world and she'd have been fired if what you say is true. I just don't buy it.
