We purchased 16 double hung windows and 1 picture window from this company. The owner himself, Mr Scott Pitcher told us that these windows that we purchased were the "cadillac" of his windows that he sells. The windows were installed back in June 2004 by Pitcher Perfect. We decided to go with the full screens, due to having animals in the house so that we can lower the top half of the windows without having to worry about bugs getting in.

Now it is October and haven't been able to enjoy these so called cadillac windows due to bugs getting in around the screen. We have contacted Pitcher Perfect several times and they keep telling us that a so called truck from the Soft-lite company is supposed to be sending something that is supposed to resolve this issue. Each time we call them, they tell us the same thing. They received the money from the loan company and feels that they are done with us. They don't want the satisfaction of a customer who just spent almost $10,000 on their "cadillac" windows.

We asked to have the half screen windows to resolve this bug problem but basically they are refusing our wish. 2 of the people that we have contacted from pitcher perfect told us to live with it, they have the same windows themselves and they live with it. I'm sorry, after taking out a huge loan like this, we want nothing but satisfaction. They keep blowing us off and they obviously don't care about the quality of the products that they install. They screens that they sold us do not fit the windows and are too small, that is why we are having this problem. We have had to run our air conditioners all summer long, due to not being able to open the windows without a bunch of flies coming in our house.

Now we are facing a new issue, the asian lady beetles that everyone seem to despise, now we will have those in between the screen and windows along with the flies.

I talked to Scott Pitcher tonight over the phone. According to Mr Pitcher, his company called Soft-Lite which is the company who manufactured our windows and they told Mr Pitcher that the only way to resolve this was to purchase the half screens. Mr Pitcher told me that he was not going to take the loss and make this right and that we were responsible for contacting Soft-Lite and see if they will make this right. Will contact Soft-Lite tomorrow morning and see what they say, hopefully we will get results with contacting them directly even though we had already contacted Soft-Lite on this issue and was told that we should deal with Pitcher Perfect. Wish us luck we will need it!

We purchased 16 double hung windows and 1 picture window from Pitcher Perfect Siding and Window Company. The windows that we purchased were the best that this company had to offer. Mr Scott Pitcher himself told me that these windows were the "Cadillac" of windows that he had to sell. Yes, the windows are nice but only if you don't mind having a houseful of flies. The screens that we purchased were the full sized screens which did cost us extra. We decided to go with the full size screens due to having animals in the house. This way we could lower the top half of the windows and not worry about the cats ruining the screens. Well we don't have to worry about that, we can't even open our windows without flies and other insects coming in our house. The screens that we paid extra for are not sized correctly to fit the windows. We have contacted Pitcher Perfect several times and yet they have not resolved this. One of the customer service representatives told my daughter that he has the same problem with his windows at home and we were to just live with it. He told my daughter to just get bug spray and spray around the screens and to caulk them shut. That was stupid of him to say, yeah like we are going to caulk expensive windows so that they can never be removed. These people must think we are stupid just because we are females. We paid almost $10,000 for these windows and no folks, we are not going to live with it. We even contacted Soft-Lite which is the manufacturer of these "cadillac" windows which Mr Pitcher calls them. Soft-Lite told us to contact Pitcher Perfect and we told them that we already had and we were told to deal with it. The last 2 times I called, I was told that Pitcher Perfect was waiting for a semi truck from Soft-Lite containing parts for our windows to supposedly resolve our insect problem. Come on how long does it take for a semi to come in containing these so called parts, when the customer service rep told me that they get 2 trucks in every week from soft-lite. Pitcher Perfect is in it for the money, they don't care that we have a houseful of bugs. Mr Pitcher does not stand behind his own word. Please think twice before ordering windows from this company unless you enjoy a household full of insects. We also asked to have new screens made to fit our windows due to the 1/16 of an inch gap that goes completely around the window. We even asked for the half screens and they are refusing this also. My cousin also has Soft-Lite windows which he purchased through another local company. He just got the standard half screens due to not having any cats. He has no problems with bugs with only having these half screens. We have told Pitcher Perfect about this and they said that they will not give us the half screens and if we wanted them will have to pay for them. It just seems that whenever we call this company, they are using every excuse possible. Another thing with this company, with our window contract, the installers were supposed to wrap the outer frame of our windows. They did this but the windows sizes do not match. On one side of the house they removed the trim off above the one window but did not do the same to the window next to it. When we go to have our house resided, the windows will not line up correctly and will look awkward unless we pay our siding contractor extra to correct Pitcher Perfect's mistake. We would just like to enjoy having our windows opened without having to worry about the flies and other insects coming in. We had to run our air conditioners all summer long and didn't even get to enjoy feeling the fresh air coming through without the invasion of the bugs. This has been very stressful and annoying and just want this resolved and not to be put on the back burner and ignored.
