Hello Everyone

I had three deals (transactions) from eBay that the sellers shipped my items to my country (Saudi Arabia) from the US through the GSP (Pitney Bowes), I paid the item price along with the (shipping fees + import/custom fees) to Pitney Bowes (showed in my PayPal statement).

GSP use Aramex (a shipping company) to ship my items from US to outside, one time I asked Aramex about the charges that I paid in advance to PB (GSP) and if they paid it to the Saudi customs but they informed me that here in Saudi NO CUSTOMS FOR SUCH PURCHASES (FREE CUSTOMS!!!), and they stated they didn’t collect any money from Pitney Bowes to pay those customs to cause there are none!! that’s was totally right as I did my investigation and found out that our country doesn't charge any fees for eBay/Amazon/Aliexpress…etc. purchases, also I deal a lot with Aramex to ship for me from the US to here but they never charged me any fees but the shipping fees so I thought why Pitney Bowes charged me big amounts for what they call it import/customs fees?!! And if they are doing this with all buyers around the world they will get millions of $$$.

So, I asked eBay & Pitney Bowes to provide me the details of those fees such as invoices or any documents for what they are charging me and for a long time of emails they did not able to provide me anything. They don’t have any proof for what they are charging under the name of (import/customs fees).

I did ask them a refund for those charges but they said its already paid to other parties but unfortunately they cannot provide any invoices, documents, papers…etc. as proof, so there is no refund and no proof that they are charging overseas buyers such amounts!!

That brings to my mind: how many buyers around the globe pays such $$$ for nothing, how much eBay & Pitney Bowes earning and gaining millions from buyers under what they call it taxes/fees thinking that buyers will pay no attention to that, not only this but also they are telling us that the governments of such countries (Saudi customs in my case) taking this money!!

I had several emails from eBay and Pitney Bowes answering me that they can’t refund or proof to me what they are charging me!! giving reasons that don't fit to the mind, it’s totally a corrupted matter along with customers cheating, there is no transparency with those big companies, I hope if there is a federal agency that we as customers can claim our rights and stop such activities from any online companies that they abuse clients.

I believe that all buyers should investigate and fight for their rights no matter how big and power is the other party, it’s time for us not to go quietly.

Thank you
