This report at this point will be brief.

Have a contract with Pitney Bowes that states the there will be an administrative charge of $12 if not paid by due date.  Also in the contract it states interest is at 24% per annum.

We are on quaterly billing.  Therefore there can only be 4 due dates per year.

What Pitney Bowes does is set at due date say Sep 1  and usually issue invoice aboiut 23 or so days before the due date.  So the September 1 invoice will be dated August 6th or so.  However one does not receive such an invoice till the 12th or so.

Now let us say the invoice is paid late by purchaser or applied late by Pitney Bowes (Pitney Bowes takes usually around 4 to 5 days to apply payment to an account once received.  In fact,  I can look at my bank statement and see when a cheque cleared call Pitney bowes and they will have a later date then the bank does!, In other words, Pitney Bowes will apply a payment even after an amount has cleared ones bank account!  BUt I digress)

But to paying late , one only has one due date in this case September 1.  However, if the amount is not paid till say October 5, the next time one receives an invoice for the next quarter, December 1 till Feb 28, there will be charges on your invoice of $12 plus $12 plus interest calculated at a charge of 2% perr month,.

As shown there can only be one due date for an invoice, therefore one $12 charge.

2.  Interest.  I have been trying to get a breakdown from Pitney Bowes and in fact have called repeatedly and have now three emails and I cannot get an answer.

All Pitney Bowes, very poorly trained dogs say or write to you is interest is calculated liuke this 2%x12 months/365.  Of course that is no help at all

3.  The billing clucks theaten you on the telephone.  I was threatenedd by the clucks at Pitney Bowes.  Of course I said yes I need to talk to someone who has authority to deal with this fraudulent invoicing matter, clearly you do not have authority nto deal with the princilly sum of $12.  Pitney Bowes stop threatening your customers.

4.  I would not recommend anyone to deal with Pitnewy Bowes Canada.
