I should have known. I leased for 4 years a 2002 Subaru at Pitre in 2002. After completing the deal the finace manager calls me back 3 days later and said he could not get the percentage he quoted me. I told him I do not want the car. He said he could not take it back as it it is now used. Being, a nice guy I go back in and have him sign me up for higher priced financing.

Within 5 months of owning the car it develops a bad clunk and humming sound. Two or three trips to Pitre service, they say nothing is wrong. Then finally they say the drive train went bad because 1 tire had 1/8 th more threads than the other(What a crock). They wanted me to pay even though it was under warranty. Finally the Subaru rep. say's they will fix it. They supposedly replaced the drive train, clutch and flywheel. My daughter picks up the car brings it home and I test drive. Every singe noise and drivetrain hum is still there.

This goes on for the next year and they insist, all kinds of things i.e like bad tires, bad driver etc. 3-4 months ago the car would not go into gear, take it in they say they replaced synchroids, but car still having a hard time going into gear. Car now out of warranty period and starts clutch smell, Pitre and Subaru says we damaged the clutch an dneed to pay $1400. + to repair it. This car is a WRX lemon and they were just waiting to get out of the warranty period. I owe $378.00 a month to finance company in addition the car is not driveable and is sitting at their service center.
