We are a small-business in California in business for the past eight years with a credit-card processor called POS, which we loved and never had an issue with. POS was sold to Pivotal Payments last year, and apparently new terms of service from Pivotal were mailed to us in some letter last fall (that we never received).

We are now in process of closing out our account and were just told that the new terms (which we didNOT sign)is a THREE-YEAR contract, and to close this, we now have to pay an average of our monthly fees for the balance of the three years.

This is truly outrageous! Had we seen such terms, we obviously would have chosen a different vendor.

Note Pivotal also started charging us $99 fees for "compliance," which we had never had to pay before.

My advice: AVOID Pivotal like the plague. They are rip-off artists and this is NOT how you treat your customers.
