Complaint Review: Pixmania

Pixmania disgusting customer service and fail to refund or respond Paris Other

On 21st July an order was made with Pixmania for asround 100 Euros for a webcam and microphone headset. When I ordered, both items were in stock - great - should be pretty speedy.

This was for my boss who had just had his first child and wanted to show her off to his family around the world and talk to people using messenger.

Around 5 days later a parcel arrived - great - webcam and mike I thought - unlucky - only the webcam was enclosed.

Another week went by and I just thought the order was going to arrive (naive I know) but then I started on a procession of chases with Pixmania. On 5 seperate occassions I was advised when a stock delivery of these headsets was due - on 5 seperate dates for when the delivery was due I was let down by Pixmania.

After 4 1/2 weeks I thought enough was enough and when I spoke to someone, asked if they could call me when the item was in stock. Nope - no system to do that. When I politely advised the only system needed to do this was a phone and a pen and paper to jot down my number again, no success. I hit a brick wall. So I asked for the supervisor - sorry - won't take telephone calls. So what's their e-mail address - a.walker@pixmania.com and so I went to this lady by e-mail, Alice Walker who again twice advised me of the expected delivery date for the items. Twice I was let down when the delivery date was due.

So, on 31st August I asked to cancel the order and send me my money back (as Alice had suggested). We are now order + 7 weeks and I have yet to get the money back and I have yet to hear from this Alice Walker confirming when the money has been sent.

This company are a disgrace and do not deserve to be trading by their abuse of distance selling regulations and good practice. Only use them if you are happy to have the money taken immediately from your credit or debit card and then wait until they are ready to send the items to you (accruing your interest along the way) and to speak to incompetent and clueless staff who don't care about their business or the fact that it will soon slide into an abyss because they hack their customers off so much.

If you want a normal company, use someone else, not PIXMANIA.
