We ordered the Chessy bites pizza from Pizza Hut in Newmarket Ontario. (Overpriced, but Justin just had to have one). Simply a take out item. Got the pizza home and all the Pizza bites are hollow. Thanks for nothing.

It wasn't a rip-off.

If the bites were indeed hollow, that means there was cheese in them; if it was just dough, it would've been solid. During baking, the cheese usually ends up expanding and melting out, creating a hollow space inside the crust that is kind of coated with cheese, but most of it goes to the bottom anyway. That's especially the case with stuffed crust pizzas and bosco sticks. It's just the way things go.

They are hard to make

the cheesey bites pizza was one of the hardest things at pizza hut to make. first you stated with the dough then you had to use a circular ring to put over the pan then you had to take another ring and make sure there were no tares in the dough then you would take the cheese firmly placing it in to the crust but while trying not to tare the dough you then take the acsess dought making a air tight cover over the cheese you then have to use a nother ring to punch out the bite size pieces while not pushing to hard because you might make a whole now think about haveing to make 100 of those befor you open at 11:30 and you still have other prep to do i think you might have just goten one out of 100 that was not cheese filled. if you were to report this to the store at the time of purches i am 100% sure they would have refunded or future credited you or even sent you a new pizza free of charge.

Ultra low fat cheese.

I had the same thing happen to me with a Cheesy Crust pizza. We complained and the MGR fixed the problem by making us a new one and only charging us for half.

His comment still cracks me up: Hmmm, this must've been the low to no fat version.

I'd give them a call and see what they say.

I Believe It Was a Fluke

I have tried the Cheesy Bites pizza myself, and I believe you simply had the bad luck to receive a poorly-prepared one.

I've ordered a Cheesy Bites pizza on three separate occasions and in each case, the bites around the edge of the crust were so full of cheese that it had melted and partially flowed out onto the pizza itself during cooking. Further, I have friends who have also tried the pizza and raved about it, wondering why no one came up with the idea sooner.

Pizza Hut has a satisfaction guarantee right there on every pizza box, and in the rare cases I've had issues with a purchase from them, they have always made it right when I brought the matter to their attention, whether it be a free replacement, vouchers toward a future purchase, whatever. Simply contact the store responsible for your bad experience and explain it to them. If the store has a decent manager, he or she will make it right for you.
