Complaint Review: Placesettings.com - Robert J. Marossy

I am another victim of Robert Marossy's Placesettings.com unethical and fraudulent fleecing. Don't be the next! My order was at the beginning of OCTOBER 2007 for $1155.94 for 8 placesettings of Lenox Autumn China I had saved just over 25 years for! Other victims tell of stories fed to them of computer problems, lost orders etc. BUT, these excuses are seemingly recycled periodically! I have been told these same things shortly after the others were told those problems were fixed! I get the SAME emails as the other complaintants, the SAME circular run around and the SAME lack of delivery and forthrightness. I didn't complain after reading all the rebutals and fixes that finally came to others last month. Thinking Robert Marossy must have finally gotten his act together, I waited and waited for my turn to come for this company to be honest and come through. I am afraid it only comes through when it is to their advantage--like right before CHRISTMAS. What a brilliant method of snagging some more quick bucks off unsuspecting victims. CHINA BUYERS, BEWARE!!! YOU have now been WARNED by A DECEMBER 2007 VICTIM!!!! Every email I have recieved from them was a reply to mine--never one initiated from them first. The latest excuse was on November 29, 2007 saying "we just "We have no way of actually knowing where it is in the warehouse, (could be packed) so we have to tell you 7-10 days as that is the maximum amount of time it should take for them to ship" No way of knowing? Is that because my $1155.94 was pocketed AND never placed? Check back folks to see whether or not I get a refund like the others before me or if I am too close to Christmas to matter. I LOST $1155.94 TO PLACESETTINGS.COM. BUT placesettings.com and the owners are losing their name and integrity.
