Planet Fitness Mishandled my billing info and mixed up my billing info with another member after I cancelled my membership Salt Lake City Utah

I was not on a contract with this particular gym, and I paid month-to-month. I started noticing that after they changed their corporate billing system, my account was not getting debited for my monthly dues anymore. I logged onto my Planet Fitness online account and noticed that I was getting charged with a late fee. So, I called in and had them update my bank acct info (which they didn't need to, because it hadn't changed). But, another month goes by and the same thing happened again. So, I went in and once again gave them my account number/routing number, etc. A couple of months later, I had changed my bank, and brought in my new account info and a voided check. They said that they updated my billing info...but yet again, no debit from my account and a late fee. So, I called them and they didn't have any record of me coming in to update my billing info.

After all this back and fourth, I decided that it would be best to cancel my membership and go with a different gym. I understand how these gyms work (I used to be a personal trainer and gym account manager) and I did not see how they could keep losing my info and charging me these late fees. I made sure to confirm that my membership was closed before their next billing period, and they said that I wouldn't be charged for anything else.

A month goes by (after I cancelled my membership) and I saw an ACH charge debited on my bank account from them...Funny, because they told me that they didn't have a record of me coming in to update my new bank info. So, I called them and they can't figure out how my new bank account was charged after I had a cancelled membership. But at least they didn't charge me a late fee!

I don't recommend anyone to use this gym, they do not handle your financial info repsponsbily, and they completely lack acceptable customer service.

I received a call that the error was found and that they fixed the problem.
