Complaint Review: Planet wellness

 Planet wellness located in Newport News va scheduled an appointment for introductory informational appointment to see if this program was a good fit for me and weight loss that I wanted to achieve. I got there and was immediately told I had a $26 fee for the appointment that was not disclosed to me at the time of making the appointment. I paid it most unwillingly. I was then taken back and told the diet required reducing sugars and oils that are normally used in regular cooking. These are not abnormal requirements of a diet. I was excited and they took me in and got me authorized for credit because the program cost over $1800. They started a palm scan and handed me a booklet about the diet. I was reading where it told me I had to give up shampoos, conditioners, lotions, facial products, toothpastes, etc. I stated at that time that I was not willing to give up those products that this diet was not a viable alternative for me. The girl just kept filling up the bags and telling me that I could do this and they were emailing me different recipes for food dishes, toothpaste, and deodorant. I'm just kind of shocked and she keeps saying they will be with me all the way. I take the program home. Two days later I call them and explain The foods they offer I don't eat so I tell them that I don't eat fish only tuna. They give me viable different options. Once again I'm tell I can't do this diet and I'm setting myself up for failure I tell them I don't want to do this diet. I'm told I can't get any money back, so I might as well stay on the diet. I try for a couple of weeks and I gain all the weight back because I can't control the types of good I have access to at my job and there are no healthy alternatives offered there. I give up cry everything. I go to my second appointment and I haven't used the diet for one whole week. I tell them I can't continue this diet. They say they will talk to some supervisor in Virginia beach. She calls me today and tells me that I made a choice and that I can control what I put in my mouth and she can only refund me $200. I was told conflicting things while on the diet. For example, don't drink more than one bottle of water because it will flush out all the good things in the body but if you aren't drinking anything else because you can't stand the taste of their stevia drops you have to drink something! I was told I could drink more than one bottle of water but I had to do it every day. I went on their web page to ask how much cottage cheese I could eat and got told by other people on the program that I couldn't have it. I also followed their program and daily you have to record all the calories that are eaten for the day, but none of their recipes give a calorie count. So what are u supposed to do with that? I got financing for this program through credit care. I received a credit card from them but no bill has been sent at this time.
