There once was a time when it was kind of fun to play the games offerred on www.freelotto.com. And, occasionally, I would win either $1.00 or $5.00 and the company would actually mail me my winnings.

Sadly, such is no longer the case.

Freelotto, or PlasmaNet, has failed to pay me the LAST FIVE TIMES I have won small amounts. On the first two of those occasions, I was informed that I failed to claim the prize within the allotted time (nevermind that this website originally did not require a winner to "claim" smaller prizes, they just automatically sent out checks).

Figuring that I must have missed notification of a rules change, I let those first two wins slide without insisting on being paid. However, the LAST THREE wins (totalling $7.00) were ALL claimed in a timely manner, and in the the specific manner in which the rules state prizes must be claimed. I received emails from freelotto ACKNOWLEDGING my wins. But, to date, I have received NO CHECK.

I have sent several emails of complaint to every imaginable email address at freelotto.com. I have even asked that my complaints be forwarded to Plasmanet CEO, Kevin Aronin. The only response I got was from some lackey who informs me that freelotto has no record of me winning anything.

I have fired back angry emails, basicly demanding action and informing them that my confidence in the games has severely waned.

Now, I would like to take this a step further. I would request any enterprising investigative journalist to begin reseaching an expose on this company. I want to see this company suffer humiliating negative publicity. Additionally, I would like to see a class action lawsuit against Plasmanet, freelotto and its operators, with all the companies assets being divided equally to all those who have supported this website over the last seven years. I want those who are responsible for perpetrating this scam sent to prison.

Websites like these need to be permanently shut down. The people who run them need to be punished severely. If someone wants to run a legitimate "free lotto," and pay out winners properly and in a timely manner, I have no problem with that. However, if these folks cannot afford to pay out the winners, then they should not be allowed to run these scams with no fear of consequences.

Thank you, Danielle, for your report. It is refreshing to hear that someone here in my home state has actually won and received their prize! Any other winners?

Hello, I won $10,000 from them, yeah it took about 4 months before I got the check, but I cashed it and it was good. Even when I was having problems with my bank, freelotto was more than willing to give any info to help me. I dont know why everyone has a problem with freelotto.

PlasmaNet FINALLY paid!

Here is an update on my irritating dealings with PlasmaNet and Freelotto.com:

As I reported earlier, I emailed every possible address I could think of, and seemed to be making no headway whatsoever. I began contacting investigative reporters to try to round up support for an investigative expose on this company to see if they are truly on the up-and-up, or if they are just a bunch of scammers. It is my belief that if they are legitimate, then they need to start paying out their winners and they should be heralded as a good and legitimate company. On the other hand, if they are not, then they need to be exposed, shut down and perhaps even jailed. I do not think anyone should be allowed to get on the internet and create "winners," and then fail to pay out, all the while lining their own pockets with income from advertisers and supporters.

Well, after I began looking for people to investigate this company, I received a personal phone call from someone identifying himself as none other than PlasmaNet CEO, Kevin Aronin! He told me that my complaints had FINALLY been brought to his attention and he was looking into the matter. He said that he seemed to have found "the problem." He says that I evidently created "multiple accounts" with freelotto, and that somehow the wires were all crossed and it was interfering with the company's system of paying me my winnings. Or something like that. At any rate, the whole explanation was a line of crap. I have NEVER created more than ONE SINGLE ACCOUNT with freelotto, and I have been playing on that ONE ACCOUNT for something like seven years! It is my understanding that trying to create multiple accounts would be a violation of the rules. So why on earth would I do something like that???

In the several years I have been playing, I HAVE, on occasion, UPDATED MY PROFILE, to change things like my mailing address whenever I have moved. But I have NEVER created any new accounts.

Putting this "explanation" aside, Mr. Aronin told me that he was "deleting" all of the extra accounts, and leaving intact my one and only account (the one which I still play today). He said this should take care of any future problems. In the meanwhile, he did agree to send me a check for the $7.00 which FreeLotto owed me. I DID RECEIVE THAT CHECK a few days later, and have since deposited it onto my savings account.

In the meanwhile, I have won another $1.00! This occurred within the last week. I properly submitted my prize claim, and I received a verification of my win from Freelotto. I clicked the link in the verification email to have my prize sent to me. Now I must wait the obligatory 30-90 days for my check. Let's see if Mr. Aronin's handiwork has, in fact, fixed the system.

It is possible that my experience was due to some sort of malfunction. And maybe it has been cleared up. I shall wait and see.

I want desperately to believe that this company is legitmate and doing good work. I would like to hear stories from real MAJOR prize winners. Did they really receive their million dollars? Their cars? Or the three winners who have each won TEN million dollars - are they getting their money?

FreeLotto would be wise to better promote their winners and work harder at improving their image.
