PlatePass LLC VERY HIGH ADMINISTRATIVE FEE and NOT BEING MADE AWARE BY HERTZ Scottsdale, Arizona

I noticed a charge from PlatePass (INVOICE NO: 18110019) in my April stattement:
04/09 04/10 PLATEPASS HERTZ TOLLS 877.411.4300 AZ 7338 8952 12.80
I disputed the charge with Bank of America credit card today and I was given full credit ($12.80).
Here is the breakdown of my charge:
12/25/2011 Toll Charge: US 41- 8TH ST SE/SW 5:48:45 PM $0.50
12/25/2011 Administrative Fee: 4 days @ $2.95/day, Max $14.75/month $11.80
12/27/2011 Toll Charge: US 41- 8TH ST NW 1:05:10 PM $0.50
As you can see, PlatePass is charging administrative fee of $11.80 for toll charge of $1.00. I called 877.411.4300 to lodge a complaint of VERY HIGH AND OPAQUE ADMINISTRATIVE FEE.
I will also call HERTZ to log a complaint.

The manner in which Hertz and Plate Pass deal with EZ Pass tolls is very troubling. It is one thing to offer the convenience of an EZ Pass, particularity given often very long lines at cash lanes. However, it is unconscionable to hide the fact that there are charges and fees above the tolls charge, and it is hard to escape the apparent conclusion that Hertz and Plate Pass set up the whole process so that consumers do not notice the charges until long after the rental is turned in (if at all). Meiselman, Denlea, Packman, Carton & Eberz, P.C. is actively investigating a potential class action against Hertz, Plate Pass and other rental cars companies that charge hidden fees for electronic toll transponders.
