Complaint Review: Platinum Bid Auctions LLC

BOYCOTT this auction company untill changes are made. I bid on two Dump Trucks from Barry County Road Commission "GARAGE" offered by Platimun Bid Auctions. The vehicles were shown and described on website www.platinumbidauctions.com. lot #'s 15-2953 & 15-2955. The trucks looked good in the pictures. The description had a "KNOWN ISSUES" section and this is what it said:

"Known Issues: Runs and drives, scattered rust spots and scratches, floor is rusted through and been repaired."

I paid a higher price because other than normal wear I figured there were no major issues with the trucks or it would have been listed under the "known issues". When I went to Barry County Road Commission, which is over an hour away, to pick up the vehicles, the first one, lot 15-2955. Got in the truck and found right away that the Tachometer, speedometer and the shift selector indicator didn't work, no sideview mirrow, the rear dump box locker was broken, the plow wasn't hooked up so I'm not sure it was working. The second vehicle didn't have all the plow components needed to make it work, didn't look any further because I was pissed at there dishonesty. I wouldn't take the vehicles as I felt they were dishonest for not listing all the "Known Issues" on the vehicles. As an auction bidder I rely on the auction company being honest and listing the issues with something. When I called Dennis at platinum bid auctions all he wanted to do is blame it on me for not spending the three hours, there and back, plus time looking at the vehicles and catching them at there deception. The reason they don't put all the known issues is so the vehicles will sell for more, RIPOFF. Do not do business with Platinum Bid Auctions,I feel they are dishonest.
