Complaint Review: Platinum Values 4MyTravel.com Or HHLP.com

I experienced a very similar marketing ploy from Platinum Values as what happened to another person on this website (See this website's Search entry on "MWI Essentials" from "Eileen" of Sidney, Nebraska, U.S.A.).

A telemarketer called and offered travel discounts if I would just verify information. The rep already had the last 4 digits of my credit card no., name, address and ph no. They only needed verification. I became suspicious when this simple telemarketing phone call (ones that I usually do not accept) began to exceed 15 mins.

Of course, there was a trial period. When I called to cancel, I was transferred several times then given a phone number to call. I reached a "Supervisor" who said that since I authorized the transaction that there was nothing they could do. If I get an answer like this, I ALWAYS call back and try again.

After no luck w/ the company, I called my credit card company and followed their instructions. My credit card company issued this company a "chargeback", which means that they have been put on written warning that they cannot use Mastercard/Visa/AmEx again.

Long story made short, my best advice to anyone dealing with this company or anyone shady:
1)Call the company and register your complaint.
2)Immediately call your credit card company and register a fraud complaint according to their policies (they usually want you to call the merchant first: since you have already done that, you can proceed full steam ahead).

The frauds will always be out there, but they envy that WE can live without hiding.
