My fiance and i had rented movies from this place of business just as we had before. The movies got late we recieved no call to remind us that they were late or any of that. We realized they were late and returned them my fiance had to run so she told the clerk that she would come in and pay the overdue charge. The following day we recieved a phone call from the manager that had a very rude tone and dimeanor that the charge was $84 dollars and if we didn't not contact her by 5:00 she would contact my fiance's employer. The charge was no surprise and we had problem paying it. It was her tone on the phone message that upset us.

When we went in my fiance told her that she felt her message was unprofessional at which the manager said glad you feel that way. She rudely told us our account was closed (which we wanted to do given her attitude on the phone) and we were not welcome back in the place of business. She continued to call my fiance a b**ch and several derogatory names and swore uncontinuously at us. We left the store not problem. However we feel this is no way to treat well paying customers and feel she does not deserve to be in a position where she feels superior to others. We also feel as if drugs may have been present in the place of business and may have in use by the manager to trigger this reaction and attitude towards us

Try living up to your agreement

Sorry, sir, but you rented what I only can presume were porn videos (given the name of the company) and held onto them long enough to rack up $84 in late charges. (How many weeks late were you?) If this is an *Adult Video* store, you are not going to be treated as one of the pillars of your community by its employees AND you will be treated harshly if you fail to return videos on time and then walk out without immediately paying your fines. (The business owes you no phone call to remind you to return your rentals either.) The staff at these stores is used to dealing with a rather less than stellar customer, so if you act as if you are not going to honor your agreement as to the rentals, they are not going to treat you as a favored customer.

Walking into a store to which you owe money and copping an attitude that the store owes YOU something because you have to pay a fine for not living up to your agreement is not going to get you any help or pleasantries from the manager of the employees. Why would they want the hassle of dealing with you again? The manager was upset your fiance left without paying. Few would blame her for feeling that way.

Throwing out the drug allegation with nothing to back it up only makes it look like you are desperate to get even with the manager and know that her attitude toward you probably will be understood and accepted by her superiors. Any hope you may have had to maintain a little credibility went away with that allegation.

Next time, either return your rentals on time or be willing to pay immediately whatever late fees you owe. Businesses tend to forgive customers who pay their penalties and don't argue about them.

"We left the store not problem. However we feel this is no way to treat well paying customers and feel she does not deserve to be in a position where she feels superior to others"

What the frack?! You racked up $84 in late fees, for the love of god, and this is apparently their fault for not calling you?!

You are not a well paying customer, you're someone who can't be trusted to rent something and bring it back in a timely manner!
