Complaint Review: Robert Coffy And Plotter4u.com

I have a complaint about authorized HP reseller - Plotter4u.com.I ordered a refurbished HP plotter from Plotter4u.com in April 2008.

The first plotter we received was damaged during shipping so the company sent us a second plotter, not similar to the original plotter we wanted. When we received the plotter the shipping crate received minor damage during shipping however the plotter worked, at lease for a short period of time after we received it.

We worked with Plotter4u.com's IT staff to attempt to get the plotter working again but nothing worked, not even replacing the memory. We eventually had to return the device to the company. My father personally built a sturdy, wooden crate and shipped the plotter back to the company in July 2008.

The company promised to give us a full refund minus $200 shipping costs, which we agreed to because we had spent so much time and energy with little return with this plotter. Not to mention this affected our business and our ability to provide services to our clients. (My father runs our family business in NY and I am currently serving in the military in Hawaii)

Anyway, I've had to file a BBB complaint against this company because I have not received my full refund. I also wrote to the CA Attorney General and the CEO of HP. I thought this company was a legitamate, professional business that honored their business comittments. I didn't sign up for this time mess that has consumed so much of my time.

It is now Nov and I still have not received the remainding balance of my refund or have received any communications from the company. I just want this isuue resolved. The CA Attorney General recommended that I take the company to small claims court, which I am preparing to do.
