Plumbing Service Co. Owner Matt Hord Matt Hord, owner Ripped off over $500 for a $200 job, lied to, put in used equipment, stole our Moen Kernersville, North Carolina
These people charged us $708 for practically nothing. We had a faucet with a slight leak that was a Moen retailed at over $400. They "took that" faucet without our permission, replaced it with an American Standard worth only $55 at any wholesaler, and then, charged us $275 on that deal, when the cost of faucet and labor wouldn't have come to more than $80 except that they installed a "used faucet" and took our practically new, expensive one with them. Then, in the bathroom, we already had the faucet for the tub we wanted put on and control plate. They lied to us and said it wouldn't fit, installed incredibly cheap Delta faucet and control plate...I looked it up it was only worth about $100. On the bathtub deal they charged us a whopping $475. Lied also about the amount of time they were in our home. Said they were there for 5 hours, it was only 2. Lied and said they'd purchased new faucet for sink...didn't have time, and it was obviously a "used one" they had on hand. Left our home in worse shape than before we called them. Installed kitchen faucet "crooked angle" and ran the hot and cold water lines into each other somehow so that the cold cancels out the hot and you run out of hot water "everytime".

In todays economy, we are very committed to 100% customer satisfaction. We appreciate our customers and know that they work hard for their money and we are not out to rip off anyone.
We charged these customers $708 for a new kitchen sink faucet, a new tub/shower valve and a new stop on the kitchen sink. We supplied all of the materials, we have the receipt for $298 to prove it and we would never put used parts in a customers house. We gave these customers a fair price for the work that was performed. This woman had demanded a refund of $500. I would like to see the invoice from the plumber she finds to perform this work for $208, or an estimate for the same.
We have been bombarded with threatening emails from this woman in her attempt to scare us into giving her what she wants. She has threatened calling the newspaper, the TV stations, filing a lawsuit and also made personal threats against several people at the company. We stand behind the work we did and reiterate that we have proof against these claims. She has stated in one of her emails that her "libelous" claims will cost us more than if we would just refund her the money she wants. We will not be threatened into doing work for free. That would put us out of business faster than this woman spreading these lies.
