My wife bought a $2.95 Intelius report in April 2008 and then without our consent my credit card was charged $19.95 from Pmidentity.com one week later and again in May 2008.

I called Pmidentity at 800-436-0817 to cancel. The limited menu of automated choices did not offer an option to talk to a human being or to receive credit for the $19.95 charges. After listening to the voice menu and not making any selection, the menu eventually timed out and my call was transferred to a customer service rep. The CSR agreed to credit my credit card company within 2-3 business days.

These slimeballs rely on a large percentage of people not detecting the $19.95 charges or demanding refunds. For those that want refunds, they have to overcome obstacles like the call center automated menu. Unfortunately I canceled my credit card before I called Pmidentity so now I have to reassign all of my automatically billed charges.
