I applied to PNC Bank for a second mortgage. I was offered a rate of 7.49%. This rate was for a good credit history, auto debit and 90% loan to value. PNC contracted with Credit Lenders to do a Real Estate Estimate. CLA estimated my home at 30K less then it's true value. Making the loan to value 99.1% and an interest rate of 8.99%. When I was supplied with the Estimate report from CLA (via PNC)I saw that my home was compared with Ranches in seedy neighborhoods and 600 sq. ft less then mine. I called both CLA and PNC and they told me that they stand by those numbers. I supplied both entities with comparables that sold of my exact home within 3 blocks of my home and they again ignored my documentation. I also sent to them estimates I ordered which says my home is worth 180K-188K. PNC said to dispute I can get a full blown appraisal at my costs of $155.00 with PNC contracting directly with CLA. I told them I want to pick my own appraisal company and I was refused and the reason it was a conflict of interest. I contacted the Board of Real Estate Appraisors and they strongly suggested that I file a complaint against CLA. The Office of Comptroller of Currency strongly suggest I file a complaint against PNC Bank. Both these regulatory commissions used the word FRAUD>>>>>>>>>>> At PNC Banks own admission complaints like mine are common.
