I opened personal & business accounts with PNC Bank for over 6 years without any problems or issues. I have recently revived a letter from the bank which informed me that my both personal & business account will be closed on June 29. 2015 without any explanation to given any reason. Therefore I contacted the bank's Underwriting department over the phone , and asked them for the reason , but they failed to give me any information about the reason for accounts closure. I decided to stop by my local branch and I asked them to give me the reason , they too did not give me the reason and they claimed that they could not disclose such information. As a legitimate customer / consumer I do feel that I have a full right to know what did I do wrong to be dropped out from PNC Banking services. I wished I could find a way to find out the reason so I could understand it and to keep for my own references . No matter how hard I tried, PNC refused to provide me with any clue. I would NEVER recommend PNC bank to anyone .. Stay away from them, If PNC did this to me , they will do it to any one without giving you any reason .

It sounds like YOU are the issue in some way. Maybe too many overdrafts, maybe too many requests to return online purchases. It REALLy doesnt matter!! What DOES matter is the behaviours that have caused this to happen to YOU. THAT is what needs to be addressed. I can only surmise WHAt the issue is. But understand that a bank IS NOT going to just drop a customer with NO GOOD REASON!!!! THIER JOB IS MONEY!!!! The only way they are going to close YOU out is if YOU are costing THEM money. Maybe YOU are abusive and THEy are tired of dealing with the abuse. Maybe YOU have too much fraud on your end. There are TOO MANY maybes!!!! In THIS instance I would be looking at MY actions instead of WHINING about being dropped. What ever the issue is its on YOU and YOU should accept YOUR ROLE in all of this and CHANGE!!

While this may be inconvienent for you and cause you to have hurt feelings, the fact is that this is not a RipOff.

A bank has the right to close your account at any time and for any reason, and as much as you want to know the reason why they actually don't have to disclose it.  Oh and before you say you didn't agree to this...you did when you opened up the account.

For what ever reason there was something about your accounts that made them decide they no longer wanted to do business with you.  Even though you said you had no issues with them.  Perhaps you called them with too many issues.  Perhaps you had overdrafts.  Perhaps what ever type of account you had they no longer support.  Perhaps they just don't like people named "sam".  Perhaps it is one of a hundred different reasons.

The good news is that they at least gave you notice, so you have time to switch to a new bank, more to your liking.  But just remember...your next bank COULD do the same thing.
