I submitted my personnel poems in these online poetry contests.
Also was selected as a semi-finalist.I even bought the first
book for over $50.Of course, they tell you if you can find the
book anywhere else for less, that they'll refund the difference.

But, I guess, the trick is to find the book anywhere else!!!
I have searched all the online book stores for the book useing
the ISBN,and have yet to find the book.I even searched the
Barnes & Noble book store.

I believe the distribution of these book are to the "suckers"
that buy them and to no one else.

Scams of Poetry.com I too was suckered

#2Consumer Comment

I too was suckered into Poetry.com. I have recieved nearly 20 artist proofs and signed and returned about 10 of them, since they aren't in self addresses stamped envelopes I always lose the letters before I find a stamp. In this case it might as well be for the best. I have my most rescent letter sitting on my desk waiting to be mailed, but I won't be mailing this one, or anymore. I find the whole site to be a scam. I always sensed it but never really thought about it or told anyone else.

Because I, unlike others, have not wasted a penny there. I thought about buying a book but I did a search for one first and couldn't find the book anywhere. And when I tried to write the poety.com staff, I couldn't there is no feedback form on their site and no e-mail addressed to the staff, none I could find anyway. And like others I just don't think it's very legal to be able to purchase your friends and familys poetry on memorabilias, etc. And I don't see how they can copyright everyone's poetry either.
