Poetry.com ripoff. They should pay me royalties. Owings Mills Maryland
I entered two poems to poetry.com only to enter the contest and when they said that they wanted to submit my poems in their book I was excited. I told everyone. I showed the letter to all my co-workers.
Then I had a funny feeling when they wanted me to pay $59.95 for a copy. I couldn't afford that at that time but I figured that for that much I should get some type of royalties if they are making that much profit. Then I received a letter that they wanted permission to submit my poem in an audio cd, and then they wanted to send me my poems in an walnut-finish award plaque(I would have to pay of course.)
When I called their office I asked the person that answered the phone if I would get paid for submitting my poem in their expensive book and she flat out told me "no I wouldn't." Everyone who has gone through the same experience should file a civil suit against them. I want to claim what is mine.
