Complaint Review: Poetry

My 13 year old daughter got a letter that her poem was accepted for publication from poetry.com. I didn't research it, and just paid for the book.

After the book came in and her poem was on the first page, I was a little suspicious. I researched on the internet and found out poetry.com has numerous web sites stating that it is a scam to just charge an overstated fee for a bound book with anybodys poems in it.

This company needs to be stopped from sending out these acceptance letters to everyone. A teenager has enough problems with self esteem to then realize that are just being taken advantage of on what they deem to be real writing talent.
