About four months ago I helped a friend open an account at pogo. Today he found out his account had been terminated. In the email from them (after it was terminated) said it was for a vulgar username. It had no profanity in it. There was no warning to the account being terminated. Just got ripped off of $35. They should at least give you a chance to change the name. There is no where in the dictionary or profanity files that has this listed. Almost any name can be percepted as wrong in many eyes.

Unfortunatly all it takes is a few people to report that your screen name is offensive in some way and you will loose your account. As for not giving anyone a chance to change there screen name it is outlined in the terms of service what will happen if you violate them in anyway. It states that if a complaint is made it is up to pogo and EA games to determine the action that will be taken. If your screen name is concidered vulgar or profane or in anyway offensive they will terminate your account. As for using profanity, vulgar language, or offensive language your account can either be temporarily closed, you could be put on probation, or terminated. Club pogo is simply trying to maintain a clean healthy inviorment for all there customers especially since some of them are young children.
