Complaint Review: PogoPal BadgeHelp

PogoPal, BadgeHelp Ripoff! Sold me a defective product and no reply to many requests for refund. Internet

  • Reported By:

    Wed, September 09, 2009

I purchased a automated program for a gaming site on the web. When I purchased the product I had to be emailed a password before I could start using it. I emailed the site and was quickly replied to with the password and Thank you's for purchasing the software. Right from the start the program didn't work as promised. I gave it several days to get the bugs out but still no change. I immediately emailed the site explaining the problem and requesting they email me with a solution of how to fix it. I sent the same email 3 times over a period of one week with no response. Then I emailed for a refund of the defective product. I also emailed requesting a refund 5 times within 8 days and still no response from the company. I paid through an online payment site so I went back there and sent a money request to PogoPal in which it was immediately cancelled by PogoPal without even an explanation. This site is in no way affiliated with Pogo game site. I am tired of getting the run around for a product I bought in good faith, was defective and is not at all what was promised. I want my refund!!

Ok so lets sum this up. Brooke got ripped off of ten measly bucks by badge help. The only thing anyone is going to remember about this report is a Auto Mechanic and his buddies laughing in their office about some Ditzy Racist Bimbo in Ohio who got scammed and flipped the fudge out.

Thanks for the laugh Robert

THANKS FOR MAKING MY DAY

You know I was having a pretty depressing day until I came to this website to investigage complaints against Paypal and this one was in the list, even though it is not about Paypal. Curious, I opened it up and couldn't stop reading and laughing, all the way to the end.

You guys are hysterical. I was laughing so hard, I was actually crying. Thank you so much for making my day.

Brooke, I think you need to revisit your postings to understand the answers you've received. Start from the beginning.

Robert and the rest of the gang in Ohio, shame on you for abusing a clearly distraught woman.

By the way, I'm Canadian and we say "hey" not "eh". I do live in South Florida and can assure that there are way way way more Cubans here than Mexicans. Different country, different culture and yes and they all love their family.

Cheers to all!

Hypocrite

#26REBUTTAL Individual responds

Mon, December 06, 2004

As previously said, I don't intend to continue this back and forth NONSENSE when there are clearly idiots running amuc. However I do have one word for Lind that sums up everything you have said, well more then that actually, but will keep this family friendly. Hypocrite! A person that put someone down and then puts in a Bible scripture at the end of it. What a true hypocrite.
Oh yes and to pleasure you silly little mind Lind, this is for you courtesy of Websters:

hypocrite
Pronunciation: 'hi-p&-"krit
Function: noun
: a person who puts on a false appearance of virtue or religion

And as far as the Mexican comment goes, I am sure they love their families. But when they come and take the jobs of our families here that is going to far. No taxes, living 20 to a trailer and sending all back to Mexico. OK President Bush, I mean Lind, if you can't see that you are blind. Taking everything and giving back nothing, that's a Mexican for you. Call me predjudice if you like but that the plain truth. Yes Robert, lots of Mexicans in NC but also in FL. But that doesn't mean we have to hire them to mess up, I mean work on cars.

As far as the fat woman suing the fast food chain, was that your mom or sister Lind? Keep your sarcastic comments to yourself and get over it. You can't change the world when you have alot of work to do on yourself. So do the RIGHT thing and be HONEST with yourself, hypocrite is too nice of a word for people like you.

Oh and yes, personally I would much rather live in Smallville USA any day then next to someone like you. Never know when they are gonna break, getting mad over a ripoff report that was none of your business to start with and then boring us with your blah blah and trying to seem christian like after your put downs with your scripture. Keep it to yourself. I am done with this boring intellect, well that is too nice of a word, but hey why not. Post all you want, from now on I will read none of it. Removed from the mailing list, finished, through, it's over. Goodbye. Oh yes and have a very nice holiday season!

Good luck with your SAT's dear

I hope the back-yardigans can help further your limited education.

I hope when/if you leave your blanket of Smallville, USA you are not subjected to culture shock.

Thank You Robert...and I for one appreciate the hard work/education you guys do in keeping us Equal & Free people on the road. I am not really one to subject myself to prejudicing people.......thats all we are right? Mexicans love their families too, after all.

Lets all just try to keep up doing the RIGHT things the HONEST way.

Actually brooke, YOU did say you had my email address. You claim my address is on some reciept you got from PayPal. As for the idea that cars are easier to fix because of the computers, HA! That's beyond absurd. Working on cars today requires expensive equipment AND the skills and knowlegde to use them. The old fashioned mechanic is gone, or at least starving to death due to lack of insight. It's comparable to being a coal stoker in a world of diesel turbines. And to the idiotic venom spew about "we don't hire foreigners" in NC, that's also laughable. NC has one of the highest transient immigrant populations in the US. You need to come down out of the hills and see what we do in the 19th century. That's called sarcasm Brooke, since I am sure your head is spinning trying to do the math. I replied to the report because I can...just like anyone else. The people who really did get jacked, I offer help that is based in truth and fact. For the dingbats who try to "get over" and then get it back at themselves, I offer scorn and ridicule. You do know how to spell though. I appreciate that, thank you. Good luck with that "badge" thing. Toodle-oo.

Here in NC we don't hire foreigners to work on cars

#26Author of original report

Fri, December 03, 2004

Well Lind, where should I start? As this will be my last reply to anymore nonsense added after I STATED THE ISSUE HAS BEEN RESOLVED! First of all, I never said I had Robert's email address. When I filed this report it asked you to provide the sites email address, which I did, and he replied to the inquiry. Whatever, which makes do difference now. Once PayPal helped me with this, the site made the refund rather then lose their business account for providing a bad product, THAT IS THE POINT HERE.

As far as the golden rule goes, that is wonderful and I totally agree. Maybe you should practice it yourself and lay off with the dictionary like phrases that seem to imply someone may not be as smart as you. Second, speaking of the implication, I can see now where Robert maybe coming from with the OH statements. Here in NC we don't hire foreigners to work on cars and I have a family member that owns his own garage, so I won't have to rely on any immigrants or your family to save me from walking to work! We will be sure to send all the Mexican's and high school drop outs your way since your father's company gladly employees them. My father and husband also work on cars and do very well at rebuilding motors and such without all that extensive training as you say is required in OH. As far as the schooling goes seems like a big waste of time, since cars are mostly going to computers now. Guess that is why we can still afford a house payment and groceries after having maintence done on the car. No high priced car repairmen here, we will leave that for you guys. Well eh big deal. No one asked for you input here and no one cares. Case closed. You have a great day!!!!!!!!!!

Something to be learned.....

#26Consumer Comment

Fri, November 19, 2004

Brooke, while I am happy that your situation came to a positive conclusion, I hope that there has been a bit of learning from it.

While I will not get into really commenting on the rebuttals back and forth, I will say that Robert was correct to point out that the use of auto programs designed simply to cheat the games is forbidden under the terms of service of POGO. If you are suspected of using one, they can revoke your membership, no questions asked.

Now I have no idea what game the program was going to be used on, but I do know from being in a few gaming leagues at POGO that they do establish standards for the games, and especially with any games that are timed, they have minimum 'benchmarks' that they feel a person who is using their own skill can achieve the objective of the game can do. For example, in Mahjong Garden, their minimum is 2:00 per puzzle, and anyone who can complete a puzzle in less than 2:00 can be investigated for possible auto program use. If it is determined that an auto program has in fact been used, they can and will revoke your membership.

So.... the question I ask is that going for one badge that was missed really worth the possibility of getting kicked from the site permanently? And really, is getting the badges that much more important than the fun and challenge of just playing the game? I have missed more than a few badges, but I would never consider using an auto program in order to get them. There are some games that I just don't like or have a good skill level to get the badge, and to that I say 'oh well'. The challenge, fun and entertainment is worth more to me than resorting to cheating to get it. And before you jump to the assumption that I am passing judgment on you, I'm not. I'm merely stating my view for myself. I just don't feel that auto programs are worth using because by using one, where's the sense of accomplishment? Where's the fun? Where's the entertainment.

Again I say I'm glad that your situation came to a positive conclusion for you.

And for Robert.... um..... what's wrong with Ohio? LOL! Cetainly no offense taken, but I'm just curious....

I wanted to let you know it was worth every minute I spent to win in the end. Through with you and so very through with your blah blah crap. What goes around will come back around and bite ya! You truly have no clue about what you are talking about and I personally wish you would stop responding if you have nothing better to say. I don't know what you are trying to prove with the Ohio comments. Here in NC where I was born and raised we aren't stupid. Maybe you should check your spelling and what is eh anyway. Oh yeah Canadian that's right so I guess you have no right to comment on the North with the Ohio comments. This is totally unrelated to what has happened to me so you may just want to go ahead and reply to the resolution email that PayPal has sent you to resolve this matter. Time is running out. And according to PayPal this is a sell and heypogopal@yahoo.com, BadgeHelp.com or PogoPal.com (which all seem to be one in the same) is the seller. No response leads to cancelation of the account with PayPal whomever is the owner of the company that has my money.

Well who owns and runs the site

#26Consumer Comment

Sat, November 13, 2004

Well I said I purchased the product but if I you didn't get my money then who did? Who owns the site? Who runs the site and updates it? I guess it was you because you responded to this ripoff report with a rebuttal so you much have reason for doing so. No where on BadgeHelp.com does it state the auto may not work. I know who got the money and I am working with PayPal to have it returned to me or "whomever" owns the site may get pursued by PayPal. I assumed you were the owner and originator of the site by you responding to this ripoff report.

Your email address is the on that was on the PayPal receipt so I can only assume my money went to you. By the way let the guys that work for you know that I guess no share of money will be coming their way so they will have to keep working for minimum wage for a person who is very rude. I don't expect you to admit that you have unhappy customers. And what does the Ohio crack have to do with anything. Sad you are originally from NC. Makes me wish the part of FL you are in got blew off the map by the hurricane. And it will be a cold day before I ever look you up for anything.

Brooke, YOU stated that you purchased a product. Robert was merely pointing out that you purchased a product that is not allowed on the Pogo website (and he is correct, Pogo is very clear about the use of Auto Programs being illegal). Not once did Robert state that HE sold you the product.

#26Consumer Suggestion

Fri, November 12, 2004

What part of OHIO are you from? How do you gather from anything I've written, that I sold any type of software program to you? I am not and have never been a computer programmer or software salesman. I own an auto repair shop. I simply responded to the fact that you purchased from SOMEONE, not me or my garage, a program with which to defraud POGO.

The guys at the shop here want to know when they get to share some of this money you say I took from you for being the great programmer. How have I contradicted myself? YOU claim to want this program to get some silly "badge" without actually doing anything for it. Then YOU say you get them the old fashioned way. I guess to YOU, that means defrauding a gamesite for them.

YOU are the one who contadicts themself. What part of OHIO are you from, by the way? Does it amaze you that there are people outside your little world who also play games on POGO? Here's where you'll find the rules. Go to "terms of service" and you'll find out the rules of play. They also have them very visible in many of the single player games. Please don't feel sorry for my customers. They are all very happy and spend great amounts of money having their autos fixed. You see, Brooke, the only auto-ANYTHING I deal with are autoMOBILES.

Why don't you try doing this the easy way. If you paid them with a credit card, go to the owner of that card(that would be the bank who issued it, not the HOLDER of it)and find out who actually got the payment. If you paid by check, get the cancelled check and see who cashed it. FYI, I went to badgehelp.com and read all their drivel. They even admit that what you are getting has NO WARRANTY and that the gamesites can and do cancel the accounts of the users of the programs thay sell. For those of us on Earth, that means they are selling you something that isn't very ETHICAL. Nice try Brooke. I may be home in Hubert NC for the holidays. Look me up.

You are the one that is nuts

#26REBUTTAL Individual responds

Fri, November 12, 2004

You are the one that is nuts because in both rebuttals you contradicted yourself. One the first one you state that I purchased a product and then the second one you state that you never sold me anything. I guess I just paid money to a company that you happen to run or own. Now days that is called a sell. I feel sorry for any customer you back stab in your so called garage. Here we see those kind of people on 20/20 for ripping people off too. Matter of fact maybe that was you I saw on that show. I have to say that I can see perfectly because I am able to tell a fraud if I ever saw one.

You are a prime example and this report, which will remain online, will hopefully educate anyone that may thing of purchasing something through your company. I do have to say that your responses show the kind of person you really are and things have a way of coming back to people such as you.

The internet is such suppose to be a fun place but there are always people like you that want to make it a bad and sneaky place. It is definetly a ripoff what you sold me and you can't even own up to it. All you can do is make threats and call names. Grow up!!

I did not sell you anything. I own a garage in Florida. By your own admission, you wanted a program to get something for nothing. That is fraud. you claim you've never seen the statements in POGO against the use of the automated programs. Wow, are you blind also? And the idea that the customer is always right is laughable at best. The customer is RARELY right. I'd go on but I am too busy to type any more. Too many customers. Have fun.

You run a company that makes a living on ripping off another site

#26REBUTTAL Individual responds

Thu, November 11, 2004

So let me get this right you run a business that makes a living off ripping off another site and you have the nerve to judge me? I purchased the software to help me win a badge that I missed while my mother was ill not to win a jackpot of any kind. If you know anything about good business practices then you would certainly know that the customer is always right and your sarcasism is proof of your unprofessionalism. I earn my tokens and badges the old fashioned way. This was a rule exception and if you check your company records you would see that I have never purchased a program like this of any sorts nor will I ever again from your company. You said it yourself Pogo states autos may not run right? Haven't seen that one and if that is true then why do you make a living on a site that has autos that are proven not to run? Why don't you just admit your program is a failure and give me my hard earned money back. That is all I am asking for is a REFUND!

Let's review for a minute. You purchased a program with which to RIPOFF the POGO game site and got burned yourself by it. Sounds fair to me. All through the POGO site there are statements that automated programs will be rejected. You tried this so you could fraudulently win a jackpot. Instead, you got jacked. Too funny. Try doing it the old fashioned way. Earn it.
