Point Pleasant Galleries Auction house thieves and liars take advantage of trusting consignors BEWARE you risk nonpayment Point Pleasant New Jersey
I consigned several antique vintage pieces with Point Pleasant galleries for auction in April 2009.The agreement stated that payment for auctioned items would be made within a 4-6 week period. After this time frame had come and gone,I made numerous attempts to contact the auction by phone with no response.I then took a ride to Point Pleasant galleries only to find the bulding was abandoned, wiped out clean. There were 2 notices inside the front window stating that due to economic conditions, they were relocating and would inform customers via website as to new location. The notice also read that they were taking new consignments for their next auction planned for September by phone. As to date July 29 2009 I have yet to receive my check for items sold,or received ANY response from this auction house.I have filed a complaint with the BBB and also posted a review on local.com.The website makes many claims of integrity and honesty, so far I have seen neither.SHAME ON YOU POINT PLEASANT GALLERIES you are theives and liars, and unless you make good on payment due, I will continue to file against you and do whatever I can publicly to make certain other potential customers are made aware of your dishonest business practices BOOOOOOOOO
