Complaint Review: Polar Express Auto Transport

I shipped my car home using this company. 

Since I was not going to be present at the destination, I asked if I could use a credit card to pay for the entire shipment. I was told that this was no problem, and that they would pay the driver directly. A day after I paid, the driver called me directly and said that unfortunately, this was not the deal that he made with them when he gave the quote. He apologized but said that I would need to pay him before he could release my vehicle to my mother. 

I called Polar back and informed them of the situation. I was promised a call back but never received one. I called them back and when I was finally taken off hold was told that they would refund my money. 

My mom paid the very courteous driver when he arrived the following day but I had not received my refund. I did receive 2 emails showing suspcious looking "refund transactions," each for $250.00 I called and said that I had not received my refund and after being put on hold was told that it might take a few days. Well, a few days later 1 of the refunds hit. I gave it another couple of days for the second one and when this one did not hit I called them back. The operator pointed out that I was sent two emails as if this were good enough. She then told me to wait another few days which I did. This was the end of December. 

Two weeks ago, I posted a review on here. A received a call from a lady named Lucille saying that she would refund my money. I then received an email from this site saying that the company denied that I was a customer of theirs and had to take my review down as a result.. I waited a week and -SURPRISE- no refund. 

I'm angry, frustrated and annoyed. I don't understand why this company would treat a customer like this. 

Also, if they offer you $300 in fuel vouchers if you ship with them forget it. You have to jump through hoops which involves keeping your receipts and waiting for a reimbursement (I have to admit that I am not that organized...) 

The process started out so well this company but then went downhill so quickly... 

Run run run far away from this company.
