To the guy on this site who wrote a very detailed experience with a salesman named Larry Rozumniak that works for Polar Spas back in April 2013…..I want to talk to you about suing this company! Email me at (((email redacted))).

And if anyone else is reading this who bought a Polar Spas tub I would suggest you get on board because there are a lot of you out there that got the same BS sales pitch! The reason they keep getting away with it is because no one is doing anything to stop them….so lets take them to court!

It is unbelievable how the exact thing happened to me almost word for word with how he lies about Polar Spas hot tubs are chemical free, the $24K sales pitch & selling me the tub for 12K and I am currently trying to get someone to respond to my numerous calls about getting my lights fixed but no one calls back!

Larry also walked us over to a full tub & scooped the water out & drank it trying to show how clean their water is because of the ozonator that kills all bacteria. The next time I clean my tub out I am going to scoop up a jar of the scum water, hunt that clown down & make him drink it & if he doesn’t he is going in his face!

My story is even worse than others I have read in various sites.  

I actually went into a Polar Spa Expo Sales Event with my wife at the Westerner in Red Deer back in April 2012 just to see if I could buy a new cover for my pre-existing hot tub in my deck, but walked out buying a new one from Larry because he had me convinced that Polar Spas are chemical free which was very enticing due to we have smaller children that like to drink the water coming out of the fountains so we were sold on this revelation in the industry.

I was told I would get the tub in 6 weeks…it came in 9 ½ and when I got it, it was the wrong size. I ordered a 7’x7’ as that is the opening size that it has to fit into as it is sunken into the deck….they sent an 8’x8’ so I had to send it back. That meant I had to go out & buy a couple of sheets of thick plywood to cover a huge hole in my deck from Aug to Nov so my kids wouldn’t fall into it.

Another frustration that occurred is that I sold my pre-existing hot tub & had the new owner show up at my house the same day as I was to get the new one so I had a crane to pull it out but no tub to put back in so I ended up having to get a crane twice. Just to be fair Polar Spas did pay for the second crane when the next tub showed up 10 weeks later.

I was also over charged on my credit card when they took the final payment just before the hot tub arrived & it took 8 months to get that reimbursed after hassling them for months about it!

So in May of this year 6 months after having the tub installed, my deluxe lighting package where every jet is illuminated is now dead. I called Polar Spas & they gave me a phone number to call for their service team. I have called & left messages a half a dozen times now & no one calls back, which actually doesn’t surprise me as I have been unhappy with these people for a long time and have researched a lot of complaints on the web about them during the past year.

This is just some of the major stuff….I can’t even begin to tell you how many calls & emails I have made in the whole process with this new tub (actually I probably could as I recorded everything)

If you are reading this it is probably because you too were suckered into buying a Polar Spa & have had enough of the BS associated with the lies & deception & are looking for resolution….if so sue them!

AND IF YOU ARE FROM POLAR SPAS & THINK YOU ARE GOING TO COME ON HERE & CLEAR YOUR NAME WITH A BUNCH OF MORE LIES….I WAS SMART ENOUGH TO INTENTIONALLY SEND EMAILS TO YOUR VARIOUS REPRESENATIVES & GET THEM TO REPLY BACK SO I HAVE PROOF OF EVERYTHING I SAID!

We have also had the run around from this company.

We bought our tub from "Larry" at a home show as well (May, 2013). They lied about the chemicals among many other things. The tub that was delivered to our home was damaged. Although we did not sign for nor did we accept the condition of the tub, they left it on our property for us to deal with. When I contacted the company I was told it would be dealt with "right away" we insisted that after paying approx $15,000 that they deliver a new tub. This took weeks!! They left their damaged tub on our property delaying the building of our new deck and fence, they didn't care. After weeks of us calling 5-10 times a day trying to get ahold of someone helpful and texting Chris Shaw we got no where. Chris Shaw would tell me one thing, and my a fiance another. Every conversation that we had with this man was full of lies and empty promises. We finally were so fed up with all of it we threatend to cancel the transaction on our visa as we were ripped-off. After hearing this Chris Shaw immediatly "upgraded" our tub and had another delivered. I actually had to conact the delivery company to get anywhere. Another tub delivered with damages ( acrylic damage, and a pump not working properly). They promised everything would be fixed immediately so they set up the tub and off they went. Later, we find out that they shipped up the wrong breaker to install for the tub so we ended up paying an electricail twice to come back and exchange the breakers. The fun did not end there. Finally weeks later someone came out and fixed the problem with the pump. We are still yet to see anyone fix the acrylic damage. 

Now winter is here and the real problems start. A week ago we went out to our tub, low on water, not heating, and no power to it. In attempts to get ahold of someone for help, we have received none. We were able to get the tub to turn back on eventually ourselves, and then the jets would not turn off, this continued to trip our breaker. We had a call out to polar spas immediately in which they would deal with the issues "right away", "put in a service request".Well, Thursday we woke up to an empty hot tub. We can no longer keep it heated, nor can we turn it on or fill it up.  We now have a damaged, empty tub sitting on our property again.

Polar Spas assured us that they had called the warranty guy in our area Monday. As we do not believe a word they say we called the warranty guy on weds ourselves in which he responed that they had not even contacted him. Here we are in -40 degree weather and they continue to pass the buck along to someone else. We need to contact someone else, we need to fill out a service request, we need to wait until they have someone to do repairs, your tub is fine empty for up to 2 weeks. 

We are at our whits end with this company and are absolutely interested in legal action.

We too are victims of the lies, run around and fraud of Polars Spas! Please Contact me ASAP! Or contact Julie Mathews of Global news Edmonton as she is investigating Polar Spas due to these issues! Lets bring them down! We deserve restitution! I want my money back! Do you?

We too have experienced this same problem with Polar Spas. We bought our tub last May at the Polar spas expo in Spruce Grove from Larry as well. We waited two monthsfor deliver delivery, then experieced  foul water issues because the ozonator was not working, since then have within provided severe several chemicals to use in the water ( in a chemical free tub). Our tub is eleven months old, been diagnosed with high ph causing flaky particulate to contaminate the water, then diagnosed with white mold the pipes ( in a brand new tub!) then diagnosed with calcium scale. The tub has been drained 7 X in 11 months, sits empty. Web requested a service call with one hours notice of their arrival for us to be present during the maintenance this past week. The service tech came, went into our yard, did not give us a call prior to their arrival, looked at the tub, left a note in our mail box we missed out on assistance with our tub. I called Polar Spas to discuss servicing on our tub and the water issue. Chris Shaw was difficult to speak with, abrasive, rude, mimicked my comments back to me like a whinny child, swore and F-bombed me during our conversation and told me that I broke his F-ing tub and he's not coming out F-ing fix a tub that I broke. I tried to reason with him on the phone but Chris lost control so I hung up on him.  I see many other similar frustrating  issues as well with Polar Spas and invite any one of yoquest join our quest in exposing Chris Shaw and Polar Spas to the public for what type of business he runs and how he treats his customers. I have contacted Global News Trouble shooter and they are interested in our concerns and publicly investigating Polar Spas. Later on the evening of the confrontation with Chris Shaw owner of Polar Spas He texted our home phone 3x leaving apologetic messages and tried to set up a service date due to his remorse from his earlier behaviours.
