Polar Spas Polar Spas, Rip Off Edmonton Alberta
For anyone that has had problems with Polar Spas. We have also had the run around from this company.
We bought our tub from "Larry" at a home show as well. They lied about the chemicals among many other things. The tub that was delivered to our home was damaged. Although we did not sign for nor did we accept the condition of the tub, they left it on our property for us to deal with. When I contacted the company I was told it would be dealt with "right away" we insisted that after paying approx $15,000 that they deliver a new tub. This took weeks!! They left their damaged tub on our property delaying the building of our new deck and fence, they didn't care. After weeks of us calling 5-10 times a day trying to get ahold of someone helpful and texting Chris Shaw we got no where. Chris Shaw would tell me one thing, and my a fiance another. Every conversation that we had with this man was full of lies and empty promises. We finally were so fed up with all of it we threatend to cancel the transaction on our visa as we were ripped-off. After hearing this Chris Shaw immediatly "upgraded" our tub and had another delivered. I actually had to conact the delivery company to get anywhere. Another tub delivered with damages ( acrylic damage, and a pump not working properly). They promised everything would be fixed immediately so they set up the tub and off they went. Later, we find out that they shipped up the wrong breaker to install for the tub so we ended up paying an electricail twice to come back and exchange the breakers. The fun did not end there. Finally weeks later someone came out and fixed the problem with the pump. We are still yet to see anyone fix the acrylic damage.
Now winter is here and the real problems start. A week ago we went out to our tub, low on water, not heating, and no power to it. In attempts to get ahold of someone for help, we have received none. We were able to get the tub to turn back on eventually ourselves, and then the jets would not turn off, this continued to trip our breaker. We had a call out to polar spas immediately in which they would deal with the issues "right away", "put in a service request".Well, Thursday we woke up to an empty hot tub. We can no longer keep it heated, nor can we turn it on or fill it up. We now have a damaged, empty tub sitting on our property again.
Polar Spas assured us that they had called the warranty guy in our area Monday. As we do not believe a word they say we called the warranty guy on weds ourselves in which he responed that they had not even contacted him. Here we are in -40 degree weather and they continue to pass the buck along to someone else. We need to contact someone else, we need to fill out a service request, we need to wait until they have someone to do repairs, your tub is fine empty for up to 2 weeks.
We are at our whits end with this company and are absolutely interested in legal action.
