Polaroid A bad television is an abuse of goodwill Minnetonka Minnesota
Polaroid was a name meaning good quality products, Not any more. Although they have a one year warranty, after that one year the parts are almost non-existent when it comes to repairs.
Most of the replacement boards are 50% of the original cost of the television.
They do not answer letters. Phone calls are routed via a recording, No humans answer.
The repairman said he has three televisions (Polaroids) waiting for parts for six months and under extended warranties. He recommended I put my TV in the dumpster and buy a television from another manufacturer. I leave it sitting in the basement in the hopes that Polaroid will get a concience and at least communicate with their customers. Or better yet someone will start a class action suit against Polaroid.
The TV is: FLM323BLCD, a 32 inch flat screen. Mywife is sick that we wasted $750 on a TV that lasted 16 months.
I am 63 and have had several televisions but never had one that died in less than 5 years. I have never had a product from a major manufacturer that was so poor the manufacturer was embarassed to talk to me about thier lousy product. Avoid all Polaroid products.

I also contacted a website called, fixya.com. There are probably hundreds of similar complaints about Polaroid televisions and the control modules.
