Complaint Review: Policy Holders Claims Services

RAPID RESPONSE REQUESTED PLEASE!

To whom it may concern,

I hired a private adjuster known as Policy Holders Claims Services Inc. to represent meand help my family and I in our my fire loss claim with State Farm Insurance, on January 17, 2003. The fire took place on January 1, 2003 and my 5 children and I lost everything. I hired Policy Holders Claims Services Inc. at a 7% rate of my insurance claim settlement.

My COMPLAINTS against Policy Holders are as follows;

Policy Holders Claims Services Inc. referred me to Regal Construction, a building company that they refer to everyone. Because while I was negotiation with regal construction, mr carrier was withholding my first payout from statefarm. I wasn't happy with the builder as he attempted to give me less credit than shown on state farms Trade Summary List to do the upstairs of the house that was not covered by State Farm.

It was one lie after another to the point where I didn't trust them and was very unhappy with them. They were even supposed to get a signature from my husband whom I was separated from at that time and lived in warren because he was the homeowner at that time. They never contacted him and proceeded with my signature as they felt they didn't need his. After these discoveries I tried to end my contract with Regal Construction which had not performed any work to my house during this time.
Mark Carrier, owner of Policy Holders told me that he was not going to release any payouts to me until I paid his friend, Mark Dubin, Regal Construction forty-four thousand dollars which was 20% of the my insurance settlement because I wanted to stop Regal construction, whom I didn't trust to do the work. After Mr. Carrier held all payouts to me for one year, I became so DESPERATE to get my home rebuilt that I paid the twenty something thousand dollars to Regal Construction and thousands of dollars for an attorney. IT was very unfair but I knew they were going to purposely drag this on for years to make me miserable. I gave in because of this.
Mark Carrier in June, 2005 received one of my checks from statefarm insurance in the amount of $89000. He never made us aware that he had received this check. I called for months and it seemed that history had repeated itself as he had done this before to stall for time. He then in june, jully and august 06 wouldnt return my calls and when he did, he had an excuse that he was out of town, on vacation and in new Orleans etc. doing disaster claimed and , etc. I then had statefarms headquarters do an investigation and the check was cashed by Mark Carrier. He denied for months. He then sent me 1/3(4months later) without a call or explanation. Now another 6 months have gone by since he paid me that small check, and no calls or mail from mark. I even had The resolution center tried to contact him to have him pay but no success as hes always on the run and never to be found at the office. At the same I didn't just need the check but he needed to finish negotiation my settlement with statefarm.
Policy Holders failed to supply accurate lists to statefarm of my lost items(all my furniture was missing on the list) which caused a huge loss to our settlement because I didn't get paid for those items. I have supplied receipts etc. They just stopped helping me as soon as they got paid. I need a release from policy holders so I could pursue my file and get reimbursed for my items(all my furniture and appliances they missed!!) (when I say all it means 3 bedrooms of all furniture, my kitchen, living rooms, dining room, family room etc. before the file closes because state farm cannot talk to me and discuss this because supposedly policy holders still represents me. Im represented by a GHOST COMPANY that never calls me or is active with my FILE! Policy holders never showed me the list that they had submitted .
Policy Holders forced me to do literally hundreds of hours of paperwork which was supposed to have been done by them but when everything that you ever acquired in your life is at stake you do whatever it takes to try to solve the problem.
Mark stopped working for me after he got his pay in june 2003 and stopped pursuing my claim even though I had pointed his mistakes out and now i cannot go after it as they wont speak to me.
My insurance company that I had for my mortgage was supposed to pay me one year of my mortgage but they only paid 4 months because there was no work being done on the house because mark was holding my check and regal construction decided not to attempt to work with me.
Policy holders never submitted to statefarm all my receipts of the permits I had paid for so that statefarm could reimburse me and instead I have lost thousands of dollars of permit fees.
Policy holders was supposed to work on my behalf and not regal constructions behalf.
Policy holders disclosed all my personal information and settlement information to Regal construction and their attorneys as when I had spoken to his attorney he knew of the amounts of my settlement. It seemed Policy holders was helping them and not my interest.
Policy holders treated me very poorly, rudely and are very dishonest. They were supposed to charge me 7% and instead charged me 10% in their last check. I let them know but they ignored my calls and my requests!
I had faxed them for hours copies of receipts for furniture and appliances and they still had the information wrong on the list they submitted and the receipts supposedly were misplaced. I have copies of reports that the faxes went through.
They got commissions for work they never did. I did most of the work for them and dealt with statefarm because they never returned calls on a timely manner to statefarm or to myself.
Policy holders wont even go over any of my lists of payout and explain the whole claim. Ive asked statefarm too do. They said that someone will call me and explain all the amounts paid, even though they thought it was Policy holders responsibility to explain all this to me.
They didn't even negotiate that I had two furnaces in the house and many mistakes (huge mistakes were done). Thousands of dollars!! I never got a chance to see the paperwork so I wasn't able to catch the mistakes.
When statefarm reconsidered paying me for some of the furniture policy holders forgot to put on list, they depreciated my furniture so much because policy holders had allowed too much time to go by, and now I cannot buy the furniture and get the depreciation back. Ive lost 80k on that.
I cannot get a certificate of occupancy from the city of Shelby township because mark has my money and I had to stop the work in sept 2005. My house sits vacant with violations, while things are getting stolen and vandalized, and im paying a $1,800/month housepayment for this house and a $1,300/month for a rental and double utilities which is $300 dollars at the house with fire and 500 dollars at the house we are living in on west road in Washington township, and im a single parent with 5 children. Because of Policy holders im losing thousands of dollars per months because of all these extra bills and horrible STRESS that has been making me sick everyday.

The harm that has been caused by Policy Holders mismanagement and criminal conduct is enormous. The events I have outlined above represent years of my life and my home still just sits vacant only 65 percent finished.

Please investigate this company and make sure they never do tis to anyone else. I have developed stress and chronic fatigue with all this. The rent plus mortage and double utilities,has drained me everything I have and have worked for year after year. I have documentation to support most of my above claims and I am praying that you can help me. Our lives have been on hold because of Policy holders.

Please help my children and I get our lives back and our dreams back. We never asked for this torture since jan 2003. Weve lost everything. My children have suffered emotional and have been impaired for life. I have also suffered emotionally too. My children had to leave an excellent school district because of this and they are special ed (both have been classified by emotionally impaired )and they have suffered a lot too. They are emotionally My sales and commissions at my work have declined 75%for the past year and a half as I have suffered a lot of stress and wasn't well for months. We don't want to end up homeless very soon because I wont be able to keep up the two house payments.

Is this what we deserved? Please make this company not be allowed to practice to destroys others lives!
