I signed up for a free trial of acai pure for a shipping/handling fee of $1.95 in November. My order arrived 3 weeks later by mail. My checking account was debited $88.97 on Dec.4th, 2008. I didn't authorize this transaction! I didn't even like the product. I don't have the envelope that the product came in to return the rest of the product. I don't know what to do other than cancel my credit card. Can You help me to get my money back and to go after the people responsible for taking my money?

Pomacaicleanse is a scam ** Kinetka

#2Consumer Suggestion

Sat, December 06, 2008

Did your order come from Kinetka Labs? This is part of the scam. It's a bait and switch where they hook you with the seemingly great bargain of "only" paying for S&H for a trial amount. But the fine print has them then authorized to start sending your automatic shipments of this USELESS product and charging your credit card every month.

These businesses count on people falling for the $1.95 offer. When something seems too good to be true, it is.

These businesses sell a different product every few months. They are riding the wave of the latest trend, whether it's a colon cleanse product, or right now the acai/pomegranate products are the latest craze.

People want a quick fix. They want a short cut to health or weight loss.

Here is how to put these scammers out of business. First, stop falling for these $1.95 free trial offers.

Second, SUE THEM IN SMALL CLAIMS COURT. If there are enough lawsuits, the district attorney will notice it, and will shut them down. Also it's illegal for a company to call itself "Labs" when it is not a laboratory.

I have seen many complaints about this same thing not just on this site, but on other sites as well. So I did a little digging and here is what I found.

Kinetka Labs is a dba filed by a guy named Karlo Nazarian. He is not a scientist or a doctor. In fact, he's just a guy with a computer. He has a Burbank, California address which is public information on the Internet.

If you are in Los Angeles, file against him in small claims court. If you are not in California and he shipped this across state lines, it is a federal crime. File charges. Don't just dispute it with your credit card company.

When enough people stand up against scammers, change will happen. YES WE CAN.
