This company was sent to me through a broker, Empire Moving Services. I didn't know I was working with them until they called me the day before they came. Pick up in MI went relatively smoothly except for 2 things:

1) I was told the first flight of stairs were free. The mover told me only the first 5 stairs were free, and charged me extra, when all I had upstairs was a bed and dresser. I had moved everything downstairs myself. **when I complained to the company about this, they said that was a driver charge, meaning, the money went into the driver's pocket.

2) As he was leaving the mover "Russ" gave me a booklet about my rights and responsibilities. He covered up the "rights" portion and laughed and said don't pay attention to that.

That should have been my first clue it wouldn't go smoothly.

I moved in to my apartment in SC on August 1st. I called the moving company to find out when I could expect my things. I had to call back several times as evidently only 1 person could give me that information. When I finally reached her, Osi told me not to expect it soon. She got sarcastic, saying "What did you expect, it would get there in a day?!"

I called back 2 days later, Osi told me the driver had a death in the family and my belongings were not loaded on the truck, it would be another 4 days.

4 days later I called back. Osi was not in at 12pm. I asked when she would be in, as she was the only one who could tell me what I needed to know, and they said she comes in at 10am "usually"; they don't know where she is. I was told later it would be loaded on the truck in 3 days, and I could expect delivery on the evening of the 13th or morning of the 14th.

Then on the 11th I got a phone call; I missed the call and no message was left. Calling the number back, I was told it will be another 4-8 days.

I am tired of hearing "it will be another 4+ days." Every person at this company I speak to has a rude "don't care" attitude. I am tired of sleeping on the floor and have had to go out and buy a chair to sit on. I would just like my things to be delivered to me, in full, unbroken.

My belongings were held hostage for a month. The drivers were coming from Atlanta, and we were told they would be there on the 28th. Mid day the drivers, Darius and Tavares, called to say they were stuck in traffic and there were "Dead bodies everywhere" After asking their location, I looked up the Live Highway Cameras, surprise! No accident! They kept calling me back - was I SURE I wanted them to come today? Well, yes I did, I had been sleeping on the floor and didn't have my belongings for a month!

They finally arrived at 2 am, and immediately became beligerent. They demanded extra money for a "late night delivery" charge. When Tavares threatened to "F- me up" the police were called.

This company is that ugly.

Ultimately, they refused to deliver my belongings and it took negotiations through police to get them to deliver the next day. It had been pouring rain, and they refused to deliver into my apartment; instead, they threw everything into the wet grass. I felt like a hurricane survivor going through my belongings, which were all broken. Sturdy pieces of furniture were broken - it was quite obviously intentional.

I had missing boxes, broken furniture, wet crushed belongings - and the company offered me a measly $100. Whatever you do - NEVER USE PONY XPRESS VAN LINES! THEY ARE HEARTLESS THEIVES.
