My wife and I contracted with Pools, Patios and Spas, LLC (PP&S), to install an in ground pool in our back yard.

On 4 Nov 2014, a contract was signed to complete "in about one month" a 54" steel walled, kidney shaped in ground pool costing $26615.00.

On 27 Dec 2014, Chris Cash excavated the pool space and the dry well was installed.

On 2 Jan, 2015 the steel wall was installed. 7 yards of cement were poured onto the bottom of the pool on 5 Jan but it was discovered that the dry well was not working since water was collecting in the base of the pool. A sump pump was used to stabilize the drainage problem and the owner was advised by Chris that further correction of the drainage problem needed to be addressed.

Tommy Pollard, owner, continued plumbing and electrical in spite of knowing about the drainage problems. A new Supervisor, Al Kick told us on the 31 Jan that the project was "a mess" when he came to evaluate it.

On 1 Feb, Al Kick and Vern Padgett (another Supervisor) took pictures of the project to share with Tommy Pollard. On 11 Feb, Tommy Pollard came to the work site and suggested that well points be installed, at our expense. In mid Feb we had an evaluation by another Pool Contractor suggesting that well points were not going to fix the drainage problem. It was their opinion that ..."the number one issue is ground water and it needed to be addressed proactively NOT retroactively. "All work ceased on the project until mid March when Tommy Pollard returned to the sight and attempted to position well points without our consent. Instead, the drainage problem was corrected by removal of cement to the existing dry well.

In Apr 2015 sporadic work included, replacing the caved walls, re-pouring the concrete, and placing coping around the pool. On 29 Apr the crew began installation of the liner and the owner suggested pre-payment on work not yet done. Our pool, started on 27 Dec, 2014 and as of 5 May, 2015 was still not complete or useable. We have paid $21828.00 to date.
