We ordered 3 pieces of furniture for a total value of 2700 USD of their website (popsfurniture) or in our case -via an online Shopping link to their website.

Before clicking submit we called them and asked about delivery (we needed delivery shortly and wanted to ensure this was possible, otherwise we would go to another shop since we had no furniture.)

They said: "since you live in the middle of the country (Chicago) it will be at your door in 5 days, we have everything in stock that you ordered".

5 days later: no call from any shipper, nothing... So we call Pops: We NEVER tell clients 5 days, its 7 BUSINESS DAYS. *CLICK* (Person was openly annoyed we called and asked).

So, we wait until the 7th business day has passed and call since nothing arrived: "Ah, we, ahem, just shipped it, it should be there in 4 days".

So, we wait ANOTHER 4 BUSINESS DAYS, but nothing arrives and we get no call from any shipper. So, we call again, this time more agitated, but still courteous. A lady on the phone tells me to try and excersize patience and disconnects, this gives a whole new meaning to one CLICK shopping, duh. I call back, the same lady disconnects me after putting us on hold.

So, I try back later: a person picks up the phone and tells me within seconds that it "just left the warehouse"... I then asked him what my name and order was... he had no idea. The he said he thought he recognized the voice and looked up another person.... By now a few weeks have passed and we would NOT have bought anything at Pops had they not made these sales promises

(I opened up a case with BBBOnline and am considering a lawsuit for ruining my holiday).

Anyways, spoke to the manager, he didnt want to hear my complaints and finally told me it was still in their warehouse, it had not shipped. Finally we are on holiday and the shipper calls but we cannot take the goods from them since we are out on holiday. We then called Pops to see if they can store or do something for us but alas, we get told that they cant do anything for us, cya later bozo... (that would be me).

So, we call the shipper back, who says they will only do something with the shipping if the ordering company (Pop's) asks them. Strangely enough the sales manager and his assistant had told me before that that they couldn't do anything with the shipping company, they had tried, but alas... So I get mad, after much yelling Pops will refund me 300$ so that I can hire my own moving company to get the goods in my house... I am awaiting to see if the funds will ever be returned. If they dont I guess well be meeting ole Pops in court.

Luckily we have a Legal Insurance, which I highly recommend to everyone. Rgds.. PS: BE WARNED PEOPLE, THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THIS HAPPENED WITH POPS AND THEY ALREADY HAVE A BAD REP WITH THE BBB ONLINE UNSAFISFACTORY STATUS.

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, its paid for!
