The counter people do not care about filling any order correctly. After finding our take out order was incorrect, again, when the Manager, Andy, was contacted he started yelling at me that they are so busy and could care less if the order was right or not. Told me the fast food business has mistakes. Ok... I can accept that, but we were the only ones in the place and no one in the drive up lane. The problem really started when he hung up on me and then when I drove back to pick up the rest of the order gave me food that had spit on it! Called the customer complaint dept and was told they don't know who the district manager was or even where the home office is. My wife called back to try and understand what Andy's problem was and he cursed at her and hung up!

Now I know thais is not acceptable behavior. What to do? DOn't ever buy from this chain again!

Constantly Wrong Orders!

I agree with the original complaint. I don't even eat there, but my son loves it and every single time we get home, the order is wrong (forgot the biscuit, spicy when I ordered mild, etc.)

Last time we went, they were completely out of chicken breasts - yep - a chicken restaurant out of chicken. They pretty much forced me to take strips instead, even though I'd already paid for two breasts.

I told the lady at the counter I wanted a coupon for a chicken dinner next time because my orders had been wrong the last five visits. She said okay but then turned around and kept pretending I wasn't there when she knew what I was waiting for.

I was so mad by the time I left, I told to my son, we would NEVER go there again. He reluctantly agreed. I then wrote a complaint on their website. Management was very nice and apologized and sent me a coupon for a free dinner. I was pleased with the way they handled my complaint.

But, the next time I took my son there, it was the same story...out of mild chicken again, and they forgot his biscuit.

Popeye's has got to do something to train their employees on how to treat customers.

Each restaurant is different. a shame the corporate hotline didn't offer you more.

Out here, there is a popeyes. I've eaten there. The food is actually pretty good. The service is normal. I don't buy a lot of food there because popeyes doesn't offer a great value. The prices are high, for what you get.

It's a shame the corporate hotline didn't offer you more. Perhaps they feel that they can make money without any customers. Nobody returns to nasty and apathetic.

That's the best way to control a company. Vote with your dollars. Buy only from restaurants and stores that offer you good value and reasonable service. Avoid those that don't.

One day, don't be surprised if the popeyes on 70th street is replaced by a gas station. And, don't be surprised if the former manager and his nasty employees are in line down at the local welfare office.

The cream always rises to the top, and the crap always sinks to the bottom.

An update contacting the customer service "hotline"

#10Author of original report

I started this report and had the pleasure of contacting the customer service "hotline". I can see why the people down the line have such crappy attitudes. It all starts from the top. THe contact at Popeye's was uninterested in hearing the complaint, offered no solution, offered no apology and had no idea of who his supervisor was or how I could contact the head office, even though he worked directly for Popeyes and not some answering service. His comment was, "oh well, s**t happens".
Bottom line is that this company is run by and employs a bunch of dicks and is not worth any consumers business.
Fast food or not, every company that deals with the public has to have a basic level of decency when serving customers. Clock or not, Paul, nasty is nasty, and apathy is apathy.
I understand that the general worker is paid low wages and may not be a rocket scientist, so that's why I delt directly with the manager.

What do we know about fast food restaurants? For one, they don't pay their employees much. Yet, they work the hell out of them. The workers are on a clock that times each order. That can't be easy.

So, I cut them some slack whenever I go there. You should too!

Every once in a while, you will run across someone who is truly an a*****e. Does that mean the whole chain sucks? Of course not! Use your head.

If you do have to complain about your food, do it in a nice way. Otherwise, the food you receive might just get dipped in the toilet before you get it. That's common sense too.

Not An Isolated Incident

#10Consumer Suggestion

Mon, December 20, 2004

I recently had the misfortune of eating at the Popeye's location at Atlanta's Hartsfield Airport. I asked for the regular chicken and they handed me the spicy stuff. Either the manager was easily confused or the chicken pieces were already mixed up in the tray. Of course I was in a rush to eat and catch my plane so I couldn't spend the time hauling the crap back to the counter. Had to throw it and the lukewarm fries out. Simple solution: Never eat at Popeye's again. Their operating standards appear to be rather low. They've mistakenly assumed they have a captive audience at the airport. When you operate a business at a major airport your standards have to be even higher than your off-airport locations. The traffic that passes through is from all over the country and probably the world. To most customers this is their first (and probably LAST) trial of your product.
