If you see ANY ads on Monster or Career Builders using the names: Port City Promotions, Synergy Management, Vanguard, or Prospect Inc., be extremely wary of this company. There employment ads are very deceptive! No matter what you read, the bottom line is that they ONLY want you to go door to door to sell auto glass. Just recently, they were selling auto glass for Coast to Coast Auto Glass, but since their horrible reputation proceeded them, they are currently using the name DNS Auto Glass.
Before you waste your time to establish an interview, please STOP! You will save yourself a lot of time and avoid a lot of grief. You will get paid $44.00 per install, and that is if it gets installed. Your hours will be from early morning till late at night, and you will be expected to be a producer. Also, if you make the mistake of taking them up on their job offer, they will feed you with a bunch of bologna regarding their get rich quick scheme. The only thing you need to worry yourself about is whether or not you will be cited or jailed for "Soliciting Without A License."
If this company is so proud of who they are, then I can only question why they have to change their names so many times, and so frequently. Simply do yourself a huge favor and don't waste your valuable time even bothering going to one of their interviews. If you happen to subject yourself into believing their lies, then they will promptly teach you how to LIE to the customer in order to obtain a sale. This too is considered FRAUD! And yes, YOU can be held liable for your own actions!
If you happen to take make the mistake of taking their employment, you will be subject to being trained in their "atmosphere" room. This is a room where you will be taught to lie, and you had better bring plenty of vocal chords with you because they play the radio loud so unaware potential employees sitting in the waiting room cannot hear what's going on. From the waiting room area, it sounds like people are having fun, but in reality, if you work for them, then you will quickly discover that everything I am saying here is nothing more than cold hard facts!
If you are a potential customer, and one of their sales reps knock on your door claiming to work "WITH" DNS Auto Glass, simply close your door and call the police. Chances are highly likely that the sales rep at your door claiming to work "WITH" this glass shop is not in possession of the legal business license to be in your area. Warn your neighbors, your loved ones, and your coworkers about anyone claiming to work "WITH" DNS Auto Glass. DNS Auto Glass is nothing more than Coast to Coast Auto Glass. They simply changed their name, so it's up to ALL of us to warn others so they will not be taken in by this company.
Please, DO NOT fall for their practices sales pitch regarding why they don't participate with your insurance company's glass program. Yes, they will tell you all about their Lifetime Warranty and even hand write it at the top of their invoice, however, good luck getting help if something happens. If your insurance company tells you that the glass shop you are dealing with DOES NOT participate in their glass program, then STOP everything right then and there and DO NOT proceed any further. Believe me, it's not the kind of glass they are using is why they don't participate, it's the glass shop itself is why the insurance companies WONT allow them to participate in. That goes for ANY glass shop!
Help others by spreading the word so nobody will not be swindled nor fall for their deceptive employment practices. South Carolinians fought back against Coast to Coast Auto Glass, and since their were so many vast complaints, the state stepped in, and now the only thing that happened was they went and changed their business name once more. Now, we need to take another stand and prevent this same company, even though they are now using a company called DNS Auto Glass, from conducting business throughout our beautiful state. With everyone spreading the word, we can force this company to permanently close their doors. If they CAN'T do business, then they will have to fold!

I read your report and was shocked that I experienced the exact same thing, but the company I applied for a job with is "C.A.I. Charleston". I looked up the info for the auto glass company that they make their employees act like they are representing, "landmark windshield pros" and found that they just got their business license under that name on 3/29/2012. The writer mentions that DNS Auto Glass works with EVERY insurance company & provides a "Handwritten Lifetime Warranty" at the top of their invoice. ALL auto glass shops throughout America work with the insurance companies, however, it is ILLEGAL for an insurance company to INFORM their insured about the reputation regarding DNS Auto Glass.
Speaking along the lines of more FACTS, their "official" invoice contains pre-typed "corporate" contact information in which NONE of them even exists. ALL phone numbers are redirected to their Arizona office! If they are so "legitimate," then why does this alleged company intentionally misguide consumers with false and misleading information?
The fact of the matter is that DNS Auto Glass is formerly none other than Coast to Coast Auto Glass. They use offices throughout various states alleging to be an "advertising/marketing" office. The employees DO NOT work for DNS Auto Glass, instead, work for the individual office alleging to be an "advertising/marketing" office. They target young naive people into believing that one day they will soon "OWN" their own office. Flashy promises of high earnings and plenty of travel brainwash young people into working long, long hours for very little pay.
If an employee quits, then he or she is tagged as "not being able to cut the mustard," but the real truth is that they finally woke up and saw this organization for what it truly is. Their turn-over rate is through the roof because not every young person is as naive as they hope they would be. These so-called "advertising/marketing" offices runs numerous ads on varied sites such as; CareerBuilder, Monster, Indeed, and Craigslist, not to mention, numerous others. Many, many times, their ads are worded in such a misleading and deceptive way that to a reader, the job is very enticing and alluring. They will post ads under such topics as: Management, Sports, Restaurants, and anything else they can think of just to lure some unsuspecting individual into an interview. If you call that office for more information, don't be too surprised to discover that you will not be getting ANY direct responses. They are geared to get you into the door for an interview. You will NOT find out that you will be going door to door, selling auto glass, until the second day.
Speaking of their promotional management pyramid, if you DO decide to work for them and get promoted to a management position, it will be one where you will NOT receive a pay increase whatsoever. With them, by being promoted, you now have to sell for two people; yourself, and the naive person you are now obligated to train. The ONLY people within this entire organization making ANY real money is the upper management. YOU are nothing more than a TOOL in which your hard work will provide nothing but your own financial downfall. The smart ones realizes this quick while the brainwashed naive ones keep on struggling to make ends meet, hoping beyond the stars for financial success. Your hopes keep making the upper management richer, so they will keep on feeding you BS so YOU can keep on making them more money!
For those of you who presently work for one of their so-called "advertising/marketing" company, simply Google DNS Auto Glass & Coast to Coast Auto Glass. Like the writer who supported this alleged company so cleverly put it, "Do your own research!" If you do research them and still want to give it a try, then don't blame anyone other than yourself for a lot of wasted time and spent money you will never get back! It's just like that old saying, "If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably isn't true at all!"

Well I have actually dealt with these DNS individuals. They have business licenses for charleston,dorchester, and berkeley counties. They also work "with" all insurance companies. They write lifetime warranty on the top of the paperwork,but if you look on the back of the copy that they leave with you is the company created and printed promise for a lifetime warrany on the workmanship and seals. If someone defames an establishment it is our responsibility to research the company in which the claim is made against. Truly this person sounds like a pissed off exemployee who didnt get the promotion he wanted! DNS auto glass offers premium service and products. Please take the time to do your own research!

I applied through Careebuilder to two (what I thought was two) separate companies. One was called ADI or Apex Direct, Inc. and the other was listed as Hartford Entertainment. I immediately got a call from one and an email from the other to set up an interview. When I spoke to the HR rep she asked if Milford, CT was a good location which I asked if there was anything closer. She then said she would transfer me to their office in Southington. When I got a call from that office they introduced themselves as working for Paragon Marketing Inc.. I had an interview with the owner 'Jerry' for no longer then 15 mins, which I thought was odd for an interview. As far as your comment about having to talk loudly because they have a radio in the reception area, I was floored when I read this because this was where I was sitting! Again I felt that was odd and sort of unprofessional.
Next I got a call from the second company so I was excited because I was interested in the job description listed on Careerbuilder. So I set up an interview for this company which was named Primus Marketing. When I got the confirmation email, the address listed was the SAME as Paragon! So either they are getting sloppy and confused because they bounce around to different offices, but you would think they would talk to each other.
Now the only way I was able to figure all this out before wasting more time on interviews, was that in the confirmation email they provided me the 'presidents' name. So I googled the name and found his Facebook page. On his wall he was congratulated by Port City Promotions for his promotion. So I googled Port City and this is how I found your report. Then I looked at the phone number for Primus which is almost exactly the same number except for the last 3 digits. All I have to say is THANK YOU, THANK YOU ,THANK YOU!!! I can now cancel my future interview and feel better that I trusted my gut. P.S. this scam sort of sounds like the plot for the movie Boiler Room!
